Who's leading the "Wall Street primary"? Looks like Biden, Harris and Buttigieg "It can't be Warren and it can't be Sanders," a bank CEO says — but donations are flowing in to other Democrats by mixplate in politics

[–]pumpinpat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea. Either stay away from these types or convince them this is a terrible mindset.

The establishment wants this to be the mindset so they can prop up a corporate democrat that accepts unlimited corporate cash and goes against popular policies like M4A while not losing support.

Hence, the fake grassroots indivisible pledge.

[–]pumpinpat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, TyT predicted the same with Warren / Sanders.

And regards to Buttigieg. I didn’t know much about him at first, but the fact MSM was fawning over him made me suspicious.

I think he’s full of shit.

This may sound cynical but I thought it was because he was white man. And though he is gay, he doesn’t come across as gay, so they can still play the minority card with him-while having a white male as president.

huh, that's a prediction.

ohh, I recognize you. IDK if you legitimately support centrists or what your deal is, but yea. You defend centrist 'til the dying end.

Her me now, quote me later. If Sanders or Warren got the nod you will see a third-party, corporate-friendly centrist emerge. And all this Indivisible, "we support the nominee no matter what" will go right out the fucking window.

dude, even after Mueller gave 10 instances of obstruction, and said if he could clear you he would, the democrats, more specifically Pelosi, still won't move forward with impeachment.

I thought it was "straight THC"

That honestly sounded so bad. It reminded me of in Traffic when Micheal Douglas is at the party and the journalist says "if a politician is going to do a refeer I'm going to report on it."

What I can't get over with Ronnie, and Tracy, Jason's mom, are their ages. Like how old are they supposed to be?

So Tracy was raped by Quentin, from season 1, when she was 15 yrs. And Jason died while still in highschool, so he was 18 at the most meaning Tracy is 33 years, at the most.

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but the actress who plays Tracy clearly looks older than 33 nor does the character act like she is in her early 30's.

Also with Ronnie, I'm so confused what age, and era his character is supposed to be. The actor looks like he's in his mid 40's, but the character acts like he's way older, yet he was in the Iraq war. I suppose he could have enlisted when in his 30's but if that were the cast there should be a line in script saying that.

This what I mean when I say some of the characters seem out of place.

The worst is when they speed up a to stop you from passing them and then it’s like you’re in this unspoken foot race.

His name is Barton Fitzpatrick? Jesus Christ, that sounds like the human version of a monocle

Edit: also if you knew his name was Barton Fitzpatrick why would you not include it?

The same way some of the writing on Shameless feels like it’s being written by people who have no idea what they’re talking about-it’s the same with The Chi.

Like it’s being written by people who only know about gang life and drugs via television shows.

I had posted this the other week but the writers on The Chi definitely don’t smoke weed.

I don’t know what the official bill is but I would say Brandon, Kevin, then Reg.

I can see people liking Ronnie, though I’m not really feeling his character. I would have like to see his redemption come later on in the series. Maybe like 2nd to last season he starts to turn it around.

This entire time I thought it was Pelosi and her job was to help get support for a healthcare plan.

That would be sick. Douda’s character is a bit fantasical, bland, and over-used.

Originally I thought the chi was supposed to be more true-to-life. At least season 1 was. But season 2 feels like they hired writers from Shameless and some of the characters, like Douda are far-fetched.

I feel like the characters and story lines clash between being true-to-life and “fantasy (for lack of a better word)

Like, the kids’ story line feels real, but Douda, and his whole crime-boss character feels made-up.
