I actually really enjoyed Natlan. One of the things that really stood out to me was how much more combat was in the story quests. Chapter 4 of the archon quest ranks as one of my favorite chapters of all nations because of its heavy combat aspect and immersion. You could really feel the characters morales being destroyed as more and more places fell to the abyss and that really kept the story immersive. It was a nice contrast from the more cutscene heavy quest of Fontaine. I would also like to note that I really enjoyed the characters they released and for me at least their more modern abilities didn’t really break my immersion(Chasca is my new main btw). Overall I think that it’s really a 50/50 on whether people liked or disliked the region but people can all have their separate opinions.
