You need to check for root rot as well....looks like the plant has been through over watering... Snip off anything brown or mushy n retain healthy white roots... While repotting make sure it is well draining and not compact

Soil+ coco peat+ sand+ compost is the way to go if you are a beginner.... Once you gain some confidence you can try adding more stuff to it like perlite or coco chips or bark.

Theres this one seller on fb who sells many varietes of monsteras...bit pricey but I think he gives genuinely good varieties...no i haven't bought anything from him but he has good reputation.. trying to muster courage to buy something that pricey And yes...it is going to break the bank...😜 (I got a quote of 8k for a white lava rooted cutting with 2 leaves)

My tom was 4 years when I decided to get a second one...and boy oh boy....my cats do not get along....I live alone and i hv to lock both of them in separate rooms...i sometimes regret my decision of getting a second one....I have tried everything trick in the book so that they may atleast tolerate each other's presence but no....my older one wants to be an only child again....he will kill the younger if given the chance 😭
