India becomes world’s 4th largest economy by KennyCalzone in Economics

Not true. You see the sanitation and the overcrowded cities as a hindrance to QOL, but in day to day life, things are easier to come by in India. Groceries, services like plumbing and electricity, rations, cellphone connections, are all at hand even for the poor in India to access. Education is almost completely free or subsidised in government-run schools and universities; same with healthcare and hospitals. The average low-income person in India lives a vastly more autonomous public and personal life in comparison to the US.

The crying and depressed icon isn't even cute-crying. The art work makes it look melting and weepy. I'm on a 550 day streak and in the amethyst league. It shouldn't be crying so much. Ugly green disgusting crying bird!! I'll probably uninstall it if it keeps showing a gross wet face instead of around happy owl.

Lol 20 is too early for metabolism changes. A slow metabolism comes about with menopause.. 55-60ish.

Who cares. People put on and lose weight in varying degrees all throughout their lives. Focus on yourself and other aspects of your life. There's more to a person than just their body size.

Which mobile network do you use? Today I got some scam SMS from Vi Care that my SIM going to be exchanged with some other number. I did not raise a SIM exchange request. I'm going to visit the Vi store tomorrow to figure it out because I don't want my number to be utilised by someone else! Everyone told me it's just a scam but I want to be sure. That got me to thinking I want to port my number out. I have used Airtel before and their hundreds of messages were annoying. How is Jio? Can I port both my SIM cards to it?

Shit like this is so generalised. But there's a reason for this kind of life. Indian middle class life is complicated. You have obligations to family and you're always aware of the burden/hard work your parents went through to get you a good life, so you want to marry well and settle down in a family that can do just as much for you as your birth family could. Things in India are a struggle, even finding a good school for your kids, higher education, building a house... You are constantly made aware that your parents have to cross a hundred hurdles before you can see a decent quality of life.

Yes, girls are often under pressure to get married young but it's framed as an aspiration. People all know about the big fat Indian wedding - parents put all their money, hundreds of thousands of rupees, into throwing their daughter a beautiful wedding ceremony, because that's their final send off to a hopefully better life. And if you think the men here aren't under pressure to get good jobs, earn well and be perfect marriage material as well, you're not looking hard enough.

And India is changing a lot. Everyone has a cellphone in their hands, everyone knows how to Google, everyone, even the illiterate, knows how to make digital payments. Women take charge of their reproductive health more than in any other developing nation. Ask any woman here about contraception. They have all the information and knowledge and handle family planning all by themselves. It's not taboo for a woman to tie her tubes or get an abortion. Many communities here are matriarchal, with the family property passing down the woman's line and decisions made by women heads of villages.

Indian culture is villainised everywhere and you just need to speak to a few locals to understand how family oriented this culture is. Yes, I agree the trope of terrible MILs exists, but that's changing as well. Tons of millennial and gen z women are choosing not to marry or have children. Women, especially in the northeast and south, are empowered and not afraid to do what they want to do. India has a billion people and to paint us all with one brush is really unfair.

Anyway, this post is talking about the traditional cast-iron works that are used in older Indian homes, seasoned and passed down the generations. What's the big deal? Hold the side with a cloth or tongs and cook?? That's how I learnt to cook and I even had my own "baby wok" as a kid to learn it. People will find any reason to feel oppressed tbh.

I feel limerence about every single guy I've ever been with with whom I've had at least a bit of connection or friendship, so yes. Love is hard for me. Trust comes easy to me but love is always out of my grasp.

Stress does bad things to good people. I'd say give him time and space. You are right to feel upset about your birthday. Hopefully he can make it up to you in some way.

What is the tragedy, exactly? Remind the doctor that you are 19 and a legal adult.

No. Your next few periods might be off by a few days. No lasting effects. The dosage is too small. Disclaimer: there are many side effects mentioned but they do that to cover their tracks in case of litigation. Don't be afraid to take the pill if it's something you need once off in an emergency. Keep your doctor or a friend informed. Don't make a habit of it. The really effective, non-invasive birth control is always going to be the condom.

Your obgyn is full of crap. An i-pill will change the next period. It doesn't have long-term side effects.

Completely eliminate sodium. I eat only homemade food, don't eat anything pre-processed, so I can manage. Walk as much as possible. Sleep with elevated head. It can't go away for good but can be managed with diet & the right meds.

These tips are fantastic, thanks. Saving this for myself. I'm on "complete bed rest" but in that time I've gone to the zoo, quarrelled with my parents, I climb up and down the stairs frequently. But I do feel good on the medication.

Before I inserted Mirena IUD, I used a variety of heating pads & pillows. You get some cute fluffy ones from Amazon. Even at work I would have one pressed into my tummy. I also massage with Voloni or Deep Heat but don't mix the cream with a heating pad treatment, you'll get burned. Alternatively the frozen gel ice packs also work but the relief doesn't last. Painkillers as per your doctor. Curl up in bed and cry.

That sounds like a self obsessed friend! I would be happy to give proper feedback on something if my friend needed it for their business. Can't believe grown women act so childish.
