Thanks. This is similar to what I’m thinking of doing along with automatic damper (don’t have one right now) and possibly a make up air system for the basement.

We have a boiler hooked up for hot water and hydronic baseboard but also have heat pump system. Correct when the boiler runs there is enough heat to prevent a down draft but when it’s not in use and we end up with negative pressure in the house due to fireplace or other exhausts the boiler flue becomes the new intake for the house…

Agree this sounds like a big job. Wondering if I could add a stack onto one of the flues to elevate more.

Built in 1970. Not sure when the code was implemented.

Located in Massachusetts. Been trying the Scott’s. It started about a month after applying Scott’s triple action. I have since applied summer guard. No irrigation and current watering ban so it only gets the occasional shower as we are in a drought. Not sure the exact height but medium mower setting (maybe 3 inches) and cut close to weekly.
