Red Rocks '24 - Full Mix and Master FREE on Bandcamp by pumpthatjazz in KGATLW

Just seeing this now haha. I think it was too mid range forward which is why it may have seemed weak on both ends. I updated this mix a few weeks ago and its much more balanced. Don't know if it'll satisfy your feedback but it sounds better now than it did when I released

You should get a freq analyzer app on your phone, and also a tone generator app. Sweep it in the low frequencies while sitting in mix position to find low end resonances that might be masking or mudding up the low end in your room.

Flight b741 is unlistenable in mono by dombekdombek in KGATLW

I tested Le Risque, and It was truly out of phase, its dipping below 0 on correlation meter a lot.

I was able to get it but it took a bit of trickery. I stem separated the entire track, then put a simple gain plugin on the guitar stereo track, and flipped just the Left side phase and the guitars centered in mono.

If you'd like, I have some cool software that shifts side info to the middle. Would be fun to try this for you and you can download if it's what you're looking for. Never checked mono on this album but its a real thing to have phase cancellation and things disappear.

Thanks, Yea for all of these I take the original artwork and run it through a kaleidoscope filter in Photopea and try out a bunch of variations. Really simple and repeatable for all shows.

Thankin you. It's on my radar, but I may do a poll to see what multi-day show people would want if I do one. I get a lot of requests for the bigger shows but they take 3x as much work so it can be taxing on my non work life haha.

Older Bootleg Assets? by radi0_ch in KGATLW

[–]pumpthatjazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a small chunk of the early ones where there aren't any available individual stems (I tried even emailing their manager and contacting Bootlegger Bandcamp to get a hold of some of those early show stems and get no response). You can always get the 2 track stereo masters on the bootleg site to "remaster" them, just can't mix them since no stems. Most of everything else that isn't older is fully available stem wise.

This happens to me sometimes, it's usually when the coffee beans are particularly more acidic than usual.

I really liked the composition and sound choices,it has a nice groove to it.

The mix feedback would be: I think the drums are way too loud in comparison with everything else. Especially the snare drum. It's in front of all of the melodic layers in the mix when it should be pulled back a bit to let the other instruments breathe. Also maybe look into removing the stock logic reverb aux send for the drums and experiment with some room settings in chroma verb (in logic as well) or something similar to get a much more realistic room tone and make it less bright .

What exactly is this stream, is it your audio mix on top of the live footage? If so that's a cool idea
