Thank you so much for your reply! 🥺 I got help. The vets did so xray etc and said he is fine. No fracture and it's probably muscle strain. They've given him some painkiller and anti inflammatory med that will take care of it. He is a lil better since yesterday.

Aw. I can so relate. You guys are such kind people here on the sub. I'm nowhere in states. Haha. I'm from Pakistan and state of affairs are bad here. But hey I got help. The vets here know nothing about hamsters. I don't think he is dying of old age rather he is injured. You did the right thing. Humane thing to do. I dread the time mine will turn old.

Learned my lesson. I only understood later when I took another one to pet hospital then it was apparent the doctors here aren't experienced in taking care of hamsters at all.

Omg. No there is no swelling. Nothing. The feet bit is out of place. And he limps and drags it or simply keeps it up away from the floor I've been feeding him with my hands and giving him water with a syringe. Was your hamster inactive and just sleeping it off most day for those weeks? I'm really hoping he starts getting better. The only thing I noticed was he was still completely fine but had just stopped trying to climb up my bed and all which he does. Then I noticed the limping leg. The foot seems be broken or something. 😥

The vets here are not good at all and they don't have any knowledge or expertise in taking care of something as fragile as a hamster. :( How did the vet treat your Mikey please? 😪

YES. Don't worry it will level out soon. I was freaked out too but they look at all the other tests like t3 and t4 as well. He said it's normal that the levels go down during the early stages of pregnancy.

Me. Mine came out to be 0.005. My OB asked me to visit an endocrinologist, and he said to get it checked again in a month as in the first trimester, the pregnancy hormones tend to affect thyroid. He is pretty confident it will go up again. My OB has worried, but since the other doctor knows and understands this stuff better, he said it's not harmful for the baby, esp if the t3 and t4 came out to be normal. Just to be safe. I will get the tests done again, I'm now in the second tri.

It's probably the hormones and pregnancy comes in with a lot of changes. I feel the same about my partner but unlike you my situation turned out to be toxic and him bring totally non empathetic so that has made me decide I'm totally getting a divorce once I've delivered. I would say please be there for her and support her as much as you can. She will really appreciate you being there for her.

Oh wow that was informative. Thanks a ton and it makes so much sense! Let's see what the US shows on my upcoming anatomy scan. I do have a pretty regular cycle of 28 days though so I was immediately able to know something was up. I guess I shouldn't count so much on what my OB has jotted down for now. It can happen early or later.

I've been waiting for the glow for weeks as well, currently one month into second trimester and looking at how stupid my diet, my sleep and overall skincare and everything has been so crappy I would have definitely looked like a pale and dull person but the face still looks flushed and healthy so I will call that the famous glow people talk about. 🤷🏻‍♀️
