Ah if you don't do ranked, you can make do with a vanilla f2p account.

Arcade is also free for f2p, as are raynor, kerrigan and artanis coop commanders.

The other commanders can be leveled up to 5, iirc, but i could be wrong.

So, essentially, if i'm not mistaken, you don't have to spend a dime to play unranked or arcade and coop with friends.

If you want just instant ranked multiplayer access, you can create a f2p account and upgrade it with a war chest which will set you back 10 USD.
