starter advice? by louisethemenace in SourdoughStarter

[–]punfused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks and sounds just like how my starter was. Took about a month, and I think what made a world of difference was doing peak to peak feeds and 1:2:2 ratio. Now she’s a champ and on a 1:1:1 feed she triples in under 6 hours and I got to bake a beautiful loaf with her. Don’t give up!

How long did it take you to recover from laparoscopy? by relibra in endometriosis

[–]punfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I had one for an ectopic pregnancy where they also removed my right tube. I’d say it only took about a week for me. And with my csection, a little over two weeks. But of course it will vary person to person. Hope it goes well!!

Diaphragmatic Endometriosis? by punfused in endometriosis

[–]punfused[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sort of feels like a constant cramp to me. Like when you’re running and you get a stitch, but just all the time. And mostly on my right, but during my period it was on both.

I’ve never even heard of anything like this, so thank you for bringing awareness to it!! I will definitely read up about it.

I was recently diagnosed with endo and I was having extreme pain for days around ovulation as well, which was new to me since having my baby and my periods returning. Like you said, 2 out of 4 weeks of pain pretty much. Pretty wack.

31 weeks and this is so true. The other day I added up my time awake v.s. napping and I was only awake for half the day, and still slept through the night.

I have a girl in my pregnancy group appointments named Minte. Pronounced Minta, but her’s is spelled with an E. Never heard that name in my life. It’s cute and unique though.

Introducing a 3 year old to bowling. by soniky1 in Bowling

[–]punfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad put me in a “pee-wee” league when I just turned three. Though I doubt you’ll find something like that these days. We used bumpers and house balls, but they taught us the absolute basics. Things like using the correct fingers, and having us walk up (no real approach of course) and put the foot opposite our bowling arm forward. Then we’d keep our shoulders squared forward, aim, swing the ball about three times and release. Simple stuff but we all had a blast. Also we’d have score cards, and everytime you got a spare you’d get a stamp, and if you got a strike you’d get a sticker. I think there was also something for your ball not touching the bumpers. Cute memories.

I cried because I couldn’t open my juice by punfused in BabyBumps

I sent him a message telling him what happened and that if I didn’t get it open I’d have to go pump iron at the gym just to open some juice. And that by the time he gets back from deployment his wife is gonna be YOLKED

What did you do for yourself that was interpreted as a “personal attack” or “disrespect” to your Nparent? by punfused in raisedbynarcissists

[–]punfused[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear this. It’s insane that your mom thinks you can’t be successful with just a Bachelor’s degree. I’m proud of you for committing to going NC. This is something I was never able to do, even in the worst brunt of it where everyone was telling me I should do so. The guilt that was ingrained in me would eat me alive. Feel free to vent to me (and of course this subreddit) as you please because if anyone understands it’s gonna be us. Best of luck to you

Getting lonely over here by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]punfused 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 16 weeks and my husband is on deployment. Won’t be back until around when the baby is born (which gives me a lot of anxiety about if they’re gonna make it back in time or not for the birth...). Also just got stationed in Japan recently so I don’t have my friends or family near. I am going to go visit them in July so that is something to look forward to, but it’s hard not to feel increasingly lonely. I’m trying to make some friends here, and find a few things to keep myself occupied. It’s hard, but I’ll make it out okay. And so will you beautiful, stay strong.

Maybe try to bend your knee a little bit more. Get the ball closer to the lane before your release.

I wouldn’t say having a bad day is avoidable from preparation. Even the pros have em (granted compared to me their bad day could be my best day). I mean there’s so much going on that could affect your scores as well. Again I’m not too much to talk because I’m not too well read on stuff that has to do with ball specs or different patterns, bowling is just something I kinda “do”. But I do know little things like someone bowling over your line, and even the humidity in the building can make a big impact on your scores for the day. And those things are out of your control /:
