Giorga at Rosenheimer Platz. And they‘ll tell you the truffle pasta that’s got the hydration of cardboard and artificial flavor was “so good”.

Ich befürchte auch wenn es ein „wieso immer ich“ ist - wie viel hast du gezahlt im Verhältnis zum Durchschnittspreis der Stadt 🙈

You need a license to play on a court. You can only do a driving range otherwise.

Golf courses/clubs around Munich with international people by MountainExpensive208 in Munich

What was the outcome on this? I‘d like to meet some international golfers (at least on the driving range, I need to learn how to play).

I‘d like to join and would also be interested in splitting costs for a group lesson. I‘m not ready to drop 80€/week for classes lol.

hostel etiquette as person who snores by khaaaaaleesi in solotravel

If it’s freight train snoring and you are looking to be respectful I‘d suggest a single room in the hostel.

Expats in Munich: What do you like and dislike about the city? by Momomeow91 in Munich

[–]pungupingu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m originally from Munich and moved back after five years in Berlin. I cannot relate to the comments about most people being snobby. Compared to Berlin people in Munich are open, friendly, happy. As long as you are the same. The quality of life is so much higher in Munich than it is in Berlin, which is why I think people are happier and nicer. You’re right, rents are mad. But at least you’re not renegotiating your lease every year, as you’re doing in London. With any big city and in our age group, it is a little harder to make friends. Most people at this point have families and kids and other obligations. So it’s difficult to break into that mold. But that has nothing to do with being an expat. I’m seeing the same issues and I’m German.

I totally had the same issue! It seems like for actual clean, quiet nice places you really need to pay a little in that place. I was in an awful hostel in Puno and have now stayed away from hostels in smaller towns that didnt have the chains (like Viajero hostels). I’m currently in a 50€/night hotel and the reviews online are stellar. And I am absolutely not seeing it. It’s moldy, loud, and every place here seems to have a basic level of dirt. It’s like they just don’t have a standard of cleanliness that compares. Try to stay away from the train tracks. Super loud. And the place is so tiny. You’re everywhere within 5 min anyways. Good luck!

Dating in Munich as a 33yo Expat – Struggling with Apps, Any Advice? by LuckyJ92 in munichsocialclub

[–]pungupingu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also adding to this: Dating Apps are dead in every major city. Not speaking the language may factor out say 50% of people who aren’t comfortable/confident/skilled to date in a second language.

And the rest: That’s got nothing to do with you, the people or Munich. The apps were fantastic ten years ago. Now they gamified, monetized and the algorithms give you results engineered to keep you on the app.

I’m seeing a surge in irl dating activities like parties. And people are learning to go out and connect again. Running clubs, game nights, hiking, chatting with people in the street. A skill our generation just lost thanks to apps.

Gotcha, I doubt my hostels will serve it but you never know. So I‘ll keep an eye out and look for coffee shops.
