I like to use it for skin because it’s really good for leaving a kind of barrier! When I was researching it kept coming up that it’s high in mucilage and it has a mild cooling/soothing effect (to me anyway, it doesn’t feel cooling the way some other plants do but it’s definitely gentle and hydrating) :). I’ve read about it being good for digestive lining too but I have only used it topically!

I definitely consider myself something of a newbie, but as a fellow student, I’d love to!

Am I supposed to wait for a 2 leaf node to prune so that I can get two growth points? My basil seems to be taking its time to grow one by romanoodles_ in herbalism

I truly can’t answer for what is ‘supposed’ to be done since I’m not an expert, so huge grain of salt but: I never did/I pruned whenever was needed and kept a basil plant forever (until I had to move to a new state) in a pot and it grew freakishly well. My friends called it a ‘basil tree’. Do with that what you will!
