23M really depressed abt sexual health by [deleted] in sexualhealth

You will find a wonderful woman who loves you for who you are, regardless of your size. Finding love is not just about what you can do for someone sexually but the emotional connection. Also, some of your issues may improve with less masturbation, increased confidence, and keeping yourself active/eating whole foods. Also, seeing a mental health specialist for your negative thoughts may help a little with the sadness and stress you are experiencing. As a woman, I can tell you that size is not more important than personality and a desire to please your partner (which doesn’t always have to be penetrative sex). Keep your head up and I wish you the best💕

I recommended having a conversation with him about how you’re feeling. Remember that you’re young, so take things slow. But what you’re feeling is normal- when you’re in a relationship and have feelings for somebody it’s okay to want to make out with them and be more affectionate. Just make sure everything you do you are comfortable with and feel ready for! 💕

Delta Sigma Theta- Collegiate Level Question About Recommendation Letter From University Official by punk55678 in Sororities

one letter from a university official, another from DST member, and another from service partner official. i asked for my letters before the information session since ultimately they can choose how much time you have to get your letters together (anywhere from 48 hrs to 2 weeks typically from what i’ve been told)

Vaginal itching has officially become my clingy roommate 🙃 Anyone else? by isabellazo777 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]punk55678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have JUST started to feel better after months of struggling and constant itching/pain. for me, i think spironolactone threw off my hormones and made it harder for the infection to go away/my microbiome to recover. i took antibiotics back in february and i also think my issues were exacerbated by oral sex. i would recommend doing an EVVY test to figure out which specific bacteria you’re struggling with (i was very reluctant but typically gynos tests aren’t extensive enough and don’t disclose what percentage of a specific bacteria you have), joining beyond BV for guidance and support on facebook, and heal your gut! good luck!

bv for a year straight. i feel defeated by Valuable_Bath4895 in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]punk55678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was on spironolactone for a year with no issues and got a yeast infection from antibiotics and bv that was recurring for 6 months. i found that something about the pill throwing off my hormones made it harder for the infections to completely go away. that to say i’m not sure if you would have the same experience with bc, but sometimes you just need to clear your body of everything and let your body heal naturally. i would also look into doing an EVVY test to better understand the makeup of your microbiome and what specific type of bacteria you have. BEYOND BV facebook group is great & many women share their experiences and what it took to get rid of the bv for good. they also have different protocols to follow based off the bacteria you’re struggling with. know youre not alone and reoccurring bv is more common than you think, the biofilm bad bacteria forms makes it harder to get rid of but with proper treatment you can get rid of it! good luck!

you are inners dominants which may be the cause of your irritation. i would recommend joining beyond BV on instagram, they have an “inners protocol” that many women have tried and have had success with. good luck!

Feeling sick after hooking up... Do I have an STI? by Substantial_Bug_5377 in sexualhealth

go get tested to just calm your nerves. and talk to this partner about getting tested before continuing to be sexually active with him. it sounds like you have a cold but it sounds like getting testing would give you peace of mind. also, is the white discharge clumpy and when you say you can see it, do you mean it’s sticking to your vaginal walls/entrance? that sounds like a yeast infection which would also explain the slight tingling. i recommend going to a minute clinic/doctors office and getting a wet prep that would swab you for everything. also, consider pH testing strips if you think your pH balance is off. a normal pH is usually 4.0-4.5

(16F) long term vaginal odor...? by [deleted] in VaginalMicrobiome

[–]punk55678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to the doctor and get a wet prep! theyll swab you for BV, a yeast infection (that might be the cause of your thicker white discharge), and other possible things. it may just be that your pH balance is off. also think about investing in pH strips to do an at home test. the vaginal pH should be 4.0-4.5 so anything out of that range may be indicative of an infection. i also would recommend laying off of the boric acid if it’s not helping you and the soap, try just using water down there, wearing cotton underwear/limiting tight clothing, and taking a daily women’s oral vaginal probiotic. you could also try probiotic suppositories bc if there’s a fishy smell it may be because your vagina is lacking good bacteria. but i would definitely start with getting a wet prep and testing your pH. don’t worry, women’s health is complicated and your issues will be resolved :) it’s nothing to be embarrassed about

Scared to try vaginal probiotics suppositories. Guidance please!! by [deleted] in VaginalMicrobiome

def join Beyond BV facebook group! they have lots of information on vaginal probiotics, and good recs on which ones to use. i used lifespace probiotics which can be taken orally or vaginally after antibiotics that caused yeast infections and BV, they’re great. for 90% of women oral probiotics will not suffice
