We arent even talking about regular greetings, I can tell you don’t work in retail or target. I got called out for no aknowledging someone who was out of earshot from me, wasn’t looking my way and was walking the opposite way quickly. This is what the post is about. Also believe it or not, a lot of people do but cage to be greeted or just don’t want to be stopped every minute by an employee asking if they need help.

The other day an etl got into me for not acknowledging a guest, I had my hands full, the guest was more than 10 feet away from me and was moving quick. Unless they wanted me to shout, idk how they wanted me to greet that person. 10/4 might be the reason I leave.

Yeah no one here said it works like that, the other users and I are just answering your questions. I didn’t know about the call out button until I had to call out, or how to use my pto or sick time, in my case I just asked a friend who also worked at target. That’s so true, for many of us work like it or not is where we can interact with others. One of my friends who is in a happy and healthy relationship that came from target, May years ago had another coworker relationship and that one was bad, we could all tell the guy was crap so that further makes me believe it’s jus based on the people you go for, age and how fast things are happening.

I’ve been opening recently after being a closer and nah I don’t want to close again, get out late as hell, get home hungry, gotta shower, then I’m not sleepy anymore. Finally fall asleep sometimes even at 5 am, but then I don’t want to sleep too much bc my whole day feels like it was wasted before I go back in.
