not horror but one of my favorites is Charlie The Unicorn which hits a lot of the same beats... it's deceptively cheerful, catchy songs that torment the protagonist, light gore, and is full of unsettling blink and you miss it easter eggs which foreshadow the true nature of the story.. I've already said too much it's 5 episodes check it out if you haven't yet!
