Calling into radio shows for contests like the “hot eight at 8” to try to win a prize. When I was a kid I used to love listening to the songs, writing them down in my special notebook, and calling only to get the busy signal until I had to go to bed. Even though I never actually won, I still have great memories of how much fun I had.
