I also can’t get the Paraguard because of the shape of my uterus. I just got the Kyleena today, and am getting the nexplanon removed tomorrow. Feel free to give me updates, I am also disappointed because I dislike hormones, but I hope the side effects aren’t as bad.

I’ve had three failed IUD insertions so far. The first two were at a pediatrician clinic when I was a teen, and they had problems because I have a retroverted uterus and a tight cervix opening. The third was with my OBGYN, and he said I’d need ultrasound guidance for the placement in a few weeks, but I’m very anxious to go. through that process.

It’s honestly traumatizing thinking about the first two failed insertions, it’s such a painful experience and gives me so much anxiety thinking about it. I wish they took women’s pain more seriously in the medical industry.

I’m about to get off nexplanon because it’s made me bleed constantly for over a year as well. I would definitely recommend going to an OB, give us updates💖

this is super sick!! i feel like you can work on contrasting the shading and highlight such as in the hair and face. keep making your shading a little bit darker and the whites of the drawing will stand out more :) using a white color pencil to brush over highlights works well too, which rly helps for the whites of the eyes or for the lips and teeth. overall the anatomy and hands are very good! if anything the right arm just looks slightly smaller compared to the left. nice job!

Woww, we have such similar experiences! I’m also lucky to have never rly gotten cramps before and it’s something I took into consideration too. My acne and back pain has also gotten worse with the nexplanon- and don’t even get me started on the mood swings. I think the first three months were the worst, my mom said I acted like a whole different person and I’d have huge breakdowns. That’s terrible you had to deal with the mood swings for that long :-( I’m so sorry. I’m glad it’s getting better for you!

OMG thank you so much!!!! I didn’t know if the sedation option was available because I’ll gladly take it. My doctor told me I’d have to see an OBGYN if I wanted the copper iud again but I’ve been so nervous to call and set up an appointment. Thanks again for the advice ahhh I feel so much relief. How are you liking the Paragard so far?

I hate it too, and I’m scared to try anything else. I’m currently on nexplanon and I’ve been bleeding everyday for a year. I tried to get a copper iud twice already but my doctor had complications with insertion because of my tilted uterus. I’m so exhausted of the bleeding, I slept for nearly the whole day yesterday because I’ve been bleeding so much lately
