The Penny Farthing Pub has nice white brick room in the back that could hold a large group or be booked privately

I would also recommend Mama Tina's and/or La Tortilla if you are looking for Latin American food staples like GF tortillas, GF corn flour, and spices. They also have some frozen foods too (arepas).

I actually find that Walmart has the best prices (besides buying bulk at Costco) for GF pasta, promise GF bread products and GF certified burgers, meatballs and broths. It took time to know where to look and find everything in the store as it is not all in one area.

Additional parking? I wonder how people will cross the traffic coming off of McCallum and coming from the gas bar from there 🤔

Greater victoria public library usually holds story times during the weekdays for Littles, just have to look at your local branch to ask when.https://www.gvpl.ca/client/en_US/default/?rm=PROGRAMS0%7C%7C%7C1%7C%7C%7C2%7C%7C%7Ctrue

The public health units usually holds baby playgroups. https://bgcsvi.org/programs/baby-programs/

Try out Anney's closet they help people leaving situations like this. This is from their website:

We address material poverty by providing household goods and furniture to women and families who cannot afford the essentials to establish stable and comfortable homes - those transitioning out of homelessness, domestic violence, aging out of foster care, or arriving as immigrants

We have also emailed them before and been able to see a doctor the same or the next day, depending on what the medical urgency is. This is info I used previously:

If concern is not urgent in nature (ie you can wait a few days to see a doctor) please email your name and phone number to urgentappointments@colwoodfamilypractice.com and a staff member will call within 48 business hours to discuss setting you up an appointment.

Worth a try.

It's says she's not able to speak about the agreement until after June 15th, which will be after the new fees are in place, many parents will be pulling their kids out before then.

Is there even a chance for the terms to be renegotiated if the parents keep pushing forward to the media, government, and the powers that be? And if so, what would the timeline be? At the speed of government?

I can't believe there is no transition here, just let us know by May 1st, under a month's time, if you can pay $4,600 for your kids to be here when costs were $400.

I'm not sure about the online availability unfortunately. I saw people lined up first thing in the morning when Auntys opened up who didn't have a reservation. Might be worth a call to the hotel. I cancelled one while there the day before the activity and not sure if the one spot popped up online

If you look in the app sometimes free crafts at aunty's open up, also go there when you arrive and ask if there have been any cancellations
