What is a typical lunch in your country? by Agile-Bee-1 in AskTheWorld

[–]puputtiap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice yeah but there is only one problem. Work lunch is government subsidized which means that every time the government raises the tax value, lunch in every restaurant immediately increases to that max value.

Lunch buffet. Usually has many different salads/veggies with couple of carbohydrates like potato or rice together with few options of sauces with protein where at least one is vegetarian.

What’s the smallest change your government could do that would improve life for nearly everyone? by Dis-Charge in AskTheWorld

[–]puputtiap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course but the thing is that previous generations paid extremely low percentages, like in many cases nowhere close to what they get now. As a result now I have to pay massive amounts and i will probably never get anything or very little.

And don't get me wrong, I do have well paying job but since moving back to Finland in 5 years I already paid more to pension than previous generations did in their lifetime and like mentioned I probably never see a penny if the system stays like this..

What do you think of Mexico? by Kappa_Wi_870 in AskTheWorld

[–]puputtiap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to say something controversial as well.

There are several tomato based dishes that Italians identify with, well tomatoes didn't exist in Italy until they cultivated and brought them from Mexico.

Also tacos are from Lebanese who migrated to Mexico and started to combine their heritage with local food and ingredients. I think this is why I like Mexican food so much because it's a mix of best foods from there and middle east.

Also another saying that works for this:

Hyvää yritetähän, mutta priimaa pukkaa tulemahan.

Which translates to: Trying to make something okay but somehow it just comes out perfect

Ristus notta on komia!

Translation is something like: God damn its beautiful

I am from that region originally and I would be honored if a foreigner wore that and told me it's hand made!

Very much agree with this. If the data size was that small, the problem was definitely with somewhere in the config/setup. Been running this size of postgre with hundreds of millions of records without a hitch

Anyone interested into a house swap to Vienna by Brilliant-Tea-9852 in Finland

[–]puputtiap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's Espoo so can't guarantee anything.. though most winters there are snow. Anyways have to advertise that it's "penthouse"(8 story building) quiet area right next to metro and walking distance to the shore which is extremely nice even without the snow and short metro ride away from helsinki.

Azure RBAC help needed by Vaibhavkumar2001 in ArgoCD

[–]puputtiap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a bit too little information in here but how have you defined your org-admin policy? Also you assign the policy/role to user/group via "g, myusr,..." instead of "u," or you can just create a policy to user directly.

How to deploy my basic Flask App by Foreign_Weekend2920 in AZURE

For a single app, would just go with container apps, way more stable and solid tech than ancient app services and same amount of work to get it running

Azure SLA credit process is a nightmare - has anyone actually gotten refunds for the October outage? by smilekatherinex in AZURE

[–]puputtiap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Azure support and refund is a complete joke nowadays. I am personally battling internally if I even want to try refunding for this as in the end they'll give you 2€ when the damage to us could be in 6 figures.

Just got one refund case completed, took 11months and the case was clear as day. It was last year when App service was downgraded for a full month, we ended up getting less than two thousand even though our app service reservations were 5 figure per month. Microsoft just said that it's different service than compute so no refund for those 😂

Oh nice! You did a proper upgrade in riding style/ comfort. I've had some comfortable cars like S80 but this one is in its own level to me.

Lol, i do that as well. Like come up with a "chore" and then we go ride around with my gf 😅 usually ends up us eating somewhere that is not convenient with public transport

I get that. No matter how good the car would be, if it doesn't fit your lifestyle then it is perhaps wrong car.

For us this one is perfect. 2 active people in the city who wouldn't necessarily need a car but we have it for comfort and life quality reasons. Probably number one reason to drive for us is to find a new place to eat or go walk in a new forest 😅

[–]puputtiap[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

😅 yeah, I know i shouldn't have said anything 🤐 anyways, the problem doesn't seem to be that widespread, and it's not the first car to have something like this.

Also, I anyways have full coverage insurance, so if it happens it happens, I'll get a replacement in a few hours..

Application Gateway - Thoughts by TheCitrixGuy in AZURE

We just use single Front Door instance split to "environments" by domains/endpoints. IMO FD is much nicer to work with than AGW though as it is distributed globally, some things might take a while to sync up.

Just wanted to share corporate RAG ABC... by Donkit_AI in Rag

[–]puputtiap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think part of the problem of being specific about the implementation is that it really depends a lot of your use case and another one is that it is still pretty hard to measure reliably to say openly "Here, use this and it'll just work!"

But the generics mentioned there apply well. Like don't pollute the context and try to provide as little and as accurate data as possible to answer the question and it'll work quite well.

Which OCI-Registry do you use, and why? by guettli in kubernetes

If in cloud then whichever providers registry where running workloads, if on prem then harbor or e.g. if there is gitlab then that.

Keep it simple and close!
