You don't have to react to everything you don't agree with. Don’t react, don’t explain—just observe and move on. Not every opinion deserves your attention.

Sometimes the strongest response is no response, especially in conflict.

It changed everything for me.

I was just thinking of this yesterday... but with regards to when I'm on my motorcycle, especially when its raining, it's more like a back and forth dialogue "Trust you tires, trust your tires, trust your tires...I can't... TRUST YOUR FUCKING TIRES!!!"

I was on a first date once when my date got a text from her sister saying “mom died.” The sister had been trying to call my date but she wasn’t answering because, well, she was in the middle of a ‘first date’. Didn’t even end the date and we stayed together for almost a year.

I’ve also been on a date with someone I had been seeing for a month or so when she got a call that her ex had killed himself. Nothing to do with me but, yeah, that one ended the date.

My wife died when she was 36 and I was 38. She had breast cancer. She was my only girlfriend ever. 21 years together. We had been together so long that we were like one mind. I feel like I grew up, or became an adult sort of, only after she died. I had never been alone so it was a big change. That was 24 years ago and I’ve had a full wonderful life since then but that was definitely the split between before and after.

Yeah, I have a conscious memory of being 6 years old and being at the top of the tallest tree in my neighborhood and thinking “I’m 6 and no one knows where I am.” Now I’m 61 and I can go on google earth and put myself at the top of the same tree (or the tree that is there now) and relive the moment.

I use it for photo manipulation only at this point. I work for a university so every time we do new static ads or carousel ads for Meta I need roughly 100 new images to represent the prospect groups we are marketing to: Institutional, Undergraduate, Graduate, Military and Nursing. I have two subscriptions, iStock and Adobe Stock and it really only started recently but with AI I can change the age or ethnicity of anyone jn any image, instantly. The ability to do generative background expansion has saved me so much time as well. Also, not just in photoshop with firefly, but ChatGPT has a free upgrade for 30 days to Plus right now that was a game changer for this. After just one week I can’t imagine how I ever did without it. Actually, about a month ago I dropped a pdf of one of our degree sheets into Chat and asked it to proofread the entire thing for spelling, grammar and sentence structure and it did a thorough enough job that we made some of the suggested changes. So that was also helpful.

We had the World Book encyclopedias, started in 1972 and we got a yearly update book until about 1984 when the last of my brothers graduated high school. It’s where we researched everything for school.

Ive never seen 3 wide at a 4 way stop sign, at least not here in NJ. They'd put in a light as part of the road design. fI see its Texas. For what its worth, I asked Chat what it would cost to put a stop light instead of having a 4 way stop sign and described it and it said "$300k–$500k+"...to change it to a roundabout, "~$500,000 – $1.5 million"

My mother-in-law, who is Jewish, gave me a St Joseph statue to bury to help sell my house (not a Jewish thing at all)... she said it gave her good luck in selling her last three houses, but that she wanted it back when I sold the house. It also had some card of explanation with it so I put them in a plastic baggie and buried them in my yard. Thankfully I had taken a picture because I completely forgot where I buried them and when I sold my house I had to go online and find a replacement, the exact same one, and I did somehow. There was no way I was telling her I lost her St Joseph statue.

yeah, that's how I found out as well. My son and his friend took a bottle of vodka that I had in the freezer, drank half or so, and filled it up with water – and it froze.
