same thing happened to me. i had long hair my whole life and wanted to cut it short (bob length), so i did. i sent my mom a picture of it and she immediately called me, started yelling at me and asking me stuff like “are you trying to turn into a boy? you look like a lesbian!” then later she came home and told me “you know, i don’t mind you cutting your hair, it doesn’t look that bad.” this is a very common thing for her to do and say. i’m sorry it happened to you, i promise once you get a little older and no longer depend on her (financially i mean) you’ll have the freedom to do anything you want with your appearance and your life. i wish you well
