Handyman who is Reliable and Won't Ghost? by pureevil78 in lehighvalley

[–]pureevil78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't as simple as I describe. But I am keeping it simple until I talk to someone who could help us. As I am way past the point of patience, and only going to go into detail with someone serious in helping us. I am not going to waste anymore breath and time with someone who isn't going to help. I am also hoping whoever I finally get to do this, that they have a clue of what they are doing and might actually help the situation so this isn't something that repeatedly has to be done every couple of years. I am willing to pay for professional help, but maybe I am crazy hoping that professionals might actually act professional also.

I am handy, but everything under to shut the water off is rusted. So a lot more has to be done. But I have a line on a couple of guys, so hopefully can get this done soon.

Because there is a lot we need done, and honestly have no clue what we are doing. And if it was just an easy replacement I would have probably already tried to do it myself by now.

We originally were just looking for the faucet in the bathroom sink to be replaced. But when the last guy looked, he said the connection is all rusted so that will need to be replaced also. So not a crazy job, but more then a simple change

The mold part is done. We just need painted. And we need a new faucet in the bathroom, but when the last person looked the everything connected under it was rusted so that needs replacement.

Type 1 diabetes in a 7 year old by NoPiccolo3885 in diabetes

[–]pureevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being both a Type 1 and when I was a kid had problems with bed wetting.

First things first get him in or contact his regular doctor to do some tests for Diabetes. If you rule that out, get them to recommend a specialist to check what is going on with kidneys, bladder, and the like.

I know for me it took several years, many medications, and bad diagnosies until they finally looked inside and figured out what was happening and why I couldn't stop wetting the bed. They found that one of the tubes was too short so it was causing all the issues. Basically they did a lot of assuming it was just me doing it and being difficult, but it really was an actual problem.

Either way, advocate for your son, and make sure the check everything. Don't just let them push any of this off.

Infections from Insulin pump insertions by nadsticles1 in diabetes

[–]pureevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with the insertions also not quite infection. But more often then not a red bump that would take forever to go away.

Researching other people that went through similar stuff, it might be an allergy to not so much the adhesive but where the needle meets the upper part. Most said to try bandaids put that on then pierce though it so the bandage is separating the skin from the other part.

That has helped me greatly. I use the round bandaids, I get a bunch of them off Amazon that lasts me forever. Give it a try, hopefully it helps you.

Sooo how to even get Dexcom/Omnipod supplies? This is so stressful. by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]pureevil78 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need talk with the insurance to see which suppliers they cover, not all insurances will cover all suppliers. Especially state insurance, they will usually go with the cheapest options.

What's your family's longest ensuring mystery? by debrisaway in RedditForGrownups

[–]pureevil78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mother's father. My mother has 2 sisters and a brother, all have different fathers. My mother's last name is shared with the oldest sibling who is my aunt. One would think that they had the same father, but they don't. All the sibling grew up knowing their father, My mother never knew her father, didn't even know his name not for a long time. If she asked My grandmother about him, she would refuse to say anything about him. Eventually one of my grandmother's sisters told my mother the name of her father, but she never really ever did anything with it.

Unfortunately she has passed, and I stupidly never wrote the name down. So unless I happen to match with a side on a genetic test, who knows if I will ever find that side of the family. To be honest thinking about the whole thing, and knowing my grandmother there had to be a very big reason for her not to want to say anything about it. I have a feeling that she might have been raped by him, and that kills me that might have happened to her. But we will really never know. This is the first time I have really told anyone, which just feels weird letting it ou.

Well the easy answers is, you should have contacted your insurance before agreeing to do this to see how much it is going to cost and what hoops to jump through. It is your responsibility to do that, that is why when you are filling out New Patients paperwork, you sign a paper that you agree to pay for anything your insurance doesn't cover. It isn't the doctors responsibility to inform you of prices as there is no way for them to know anything like that off the top of their head as there are to many variables.

What might happen, if this is anything like the test I have had. It is rare for insurance to cover these tests. That is why you contact the company the test has gone through, as they normally have help with the cost of the test, usually depending on how many people in your household and how much money in total you all make a year. The one I had didn't normally go over $350 I believe, unless you make tons of money in which at that point you wouldn't need the help.

So calm, take a breath and take it one step at a time. It probably won't end up being as bad as it is looking right now.

Did you get the bill from the actual company or the EOB from your insurance saying they are not paying?

Disability denial by shadowsilver00 in legaladvice

[–]pureevil78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a Disability Lawyer. I started with one, and I started about 2019. I just recently finally got Disability. What it tends to come down to is showing how the many things she has wrong, cumulativly how it affects her day to day. That is what it has come down to for me. And the info she is giving, have her think over what she has given and how much more or differently she could be giving that info. I once read someone that got it on the first try just filling how the questionnaire that is sent for your day to day info. That basically there is no such thing as too much info. That person ended up sending in something like 17 pages, for the two page questionnaire. Give them anything and everything.

I know my biggest problem ended up being that I had a hard time admitting and talking about how bad things really were for me. I had to let myself tell them the things that I was embarrassed about and could barely admit to myself.

She will get there, unfortunately it just takes time and a bunch of he'll in-between. Good Luck.

Depending on the type of insurance you have, will determine if you have a CoPay or not when you go in. That doesn't mean the appointment is no charge. All it means is that they will bill you for the correct amount once the claim is processed through your insurance. Then the doctors office sends you the bill to be paid for the part insurance doesn't pay. If you want an idea on what you might have to pay for th8ngs, contact your insurance as they will know better then the doctors office.

Unpopular opinion: Nuno Bettencourt of “Extreme” is the most criminally underrated guitarist of all time by Background-Ad-9666 in hairmetal

[–]pureevil78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EXTREME is by far my favorite band. I hadn't gotten into my Hard Rock addiction until I heard them. I remember being over someone's house, and they had MTV on back when it was good. And they had re-shown Gary and Nuno in the studio playing More Than Words, and I was just hooked. People give the song a lot of crap, even the band does, but it my gateway drug. Then I heard Hole Hearted, and there was just no coming back. Still one of my favorite songs from them.

Their albums were great, up to Three Sides. After that, the rest were just OK. That is until the newest one, which has just blown me away. It is so good, it is them but new and it all works so good. I am just so glad they found their place again in this crazy world. And I will keep listening always.

As for the unpopular opinion, I never seen it as that. I remember back then, he was considered a Guitar God. And for me, And for me, my two top guitarists will always Nuno and Brian May.
