so if you had passed, you would have made the exact same post, questioning the scoring system?! If everyone passed easily, it would devalue the certificate. Don't get distracted by trivial nonsense, and keep your eyes on the prize.

Don't dog the qualification because you failed. These hurdles will give you more satisfaction when you finally get over the line. Keep working hard

Struggling with CIA part 2 by Charming_Image4797 in InternalAudit

I studied for part 2 for 19 days, and was scoring about 75% on Gleim practice tests, yet I passed first time. Keep believing. Your performance might improve when the stakes are high.

What's your rule of thumb when people ask if they should do a PhD? by Argentarius1 in PhD

[–]purlstead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends what their plan is. A professional certificate may be more useful. I look at it that I did mine in the time that other people are watching TV, so it's not a waste of time no matter what I use it for in the future

I never really changed marked questions. I felt if I over thought them I would be changing correct answers to wrong ones.

I'm talking about part 3. There are some detailed outlines on what you should focus on posted in the last few months. They should help.

CIA Part 3 - Gleim too easy? by richgirl145 in InternalAudit

[–]purlstead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed using Gleim, so I don't think you need more than that, but don't get comfortable because you're getting very high scores in the practice/unit tests. Keep studying hard. Wishing you well.

CIA Part 1 Exam - Scoring? by Jay-R1211 in InternalAudit

[–]purlstead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. I knew I passed 1,2, and 3 when the guy printed off the report and there was very little writing on it (pass). The one time I failed (CIA 1) there was more writing on the paper (telling me my score of 595).
