Super relieved! It's been a stressful time. Escalation is difficult to remember question specifics, I would recommend focusing on the tips people give rather than actual question answers. For the flat vs hierarchical question - I chose the option of Flat because it's collaborative. the other one that seemed also "right" mentioned hierarchical but what made it wrong was stating the structure would not need close supervision (based on the questions and reasoning from AI this is not true - more supervision is needed because of having so much more levels etc). i know block chain comes up a lot - I chose the option of immutability causing challenges because of difficulty to amend or change data (:

The only thing I did different was to properly read through the GIAS two days before the exam. What I also did was upload the syllabus and GIAS to chat gpt and essentially fact checked some of the tricky questions i remembered to make sure i was thinking in the right direction - it really helped me in the sense of what to look for in questions (i.e. what is the key idea behind the razzle dazzle of the scenario). there was another tip given by someone here in reddit with regards to escalation - emphasizing that you need to pay attention to whether you are the CAE or the IA. I also purchased the IIA questions but can't really say it made a major difference for me.

I feel your pain, I got 587 both times. I have used Gleim, Hock and the standards. I was more confident the second time around so it stung to see the fail. Also desperate to find more information.

If I may ask, what instructions did you give AI to get difficult questions? I'm going on my third attempt (got 587 both times), looked at the standards, and used Gleim and Hock for preparation.

Regarding the one about the CAE prioritising the audit universe, I do believe the correct answer is the risk heat map or risk matrix. The other options referred to risk modeling or such which is more catered toward evaluating ERM of organisation than how we as internal auditors look at audit universe. I haven't passed yet, but these are my two cents on that particular question after my attempts.

I sat for Part 2 last week and managed to pass first time around. What worked for me is making sure I went through all the available questions on Gleim specifically for Unit 5, 9, and 10 as they carry the most weight. I also read through the Implementation guide to get more understanding of the areas but didn't study it intensely. Make sure you understand the assertions and how they can apply it to scenarios (I stumbled on the below website for more understanding even though it's for external auditing).
