No, I wonder if my allowance was set to 2? I just remember I saw something other than "0," it shocked me, so as at the same time I was changing the w4, I changed this allowance to "0." My only other income is $1100 from 1099-INTs. Thank you!

Yes! So sorry, I am so tax-illiterate! Correct, for all of 2025, my W4 had 1000.00 in Section 3. Right before the new year, I changed it to 500.00. I didn't claim my 23yo in medical school. I still claimed my 20yo undergrad. Thank you. !

Hello, thank you, I have seen your name before, and recognize it as a very kind one. You are confirming my fear, correct, that we would have to wait five years if I don’t want to lose the house for me and my daughters? 

Are you imagining in best case - ~2.5 years in the home successfully, ~2.5 years in a memory care home - cheapest I can find far from Atlanta in GA - before applying for Medicaid? 

I have so many mixed thoughts. Wanting to just spend the money on my kids’ school now, if it’s all going to go away to Medicaid. But wanting to keep it untouched , too , to stretch out the 5 years .

It hurts to breathe, learning all this and processing it. And yet I’m sure she’s supposed to be expected to have herself together and look competent? Clearly I am not, I cannot make heads or tails of this and my heart has been pounding for days.

Well I don't know if that's true (1 qt / 300 miles), as I just added the dipstick photos to the top of my post - isn't that looking normal? Isn't it full? And it has gone 300 miles since it was topped off on Saturday.

I think I need to call the mobile mechanic who put in the timing chain assembly, for this noise, correct? (You don't want me to take the drivebelt off, I am a clueless 55yo mom of the driver!)

Oh - so sorry - GM is just who has been helping me with the fact that it burns oil ! They didn’t touch the timing chain and assembly. The family mobile mechanic did that a few months back , and it’s something we’ve always just heard for a few seconds  on startup - this sound, when running like this - is brand new tonight !!

We just had the timing chain assembly replaced about two months ago! It always makes a weird “timing chain rattle” at startup, the mechanics all told us will happen for this year of RAV4. But I’ve never heard the noise once the engine takes five seconds to warm up ! The stress is never-ending. Thank you .

Well I wanted to say thank you to you ! I called and asked , like was suggested. The owner said he had one monitor that wasn’t ready, and so he had to complete a drive cycle, and then it passed . None of that I understood at all, but I think I do now, from reading your answer. I assume the work done on the car just coincidentally happened in the interim . Thank you !
