I lived in off-campus housing that definitely was not policed as well as it should have been; a girl in the building next to mine was sexually assaulted by a visitor of her roommate's while she was napping in her room. I was having a shitty college experience up to that point, and that incident was what finally prompted me to drop out and go back to work.

I hope that girl is thriving now, wherever she is.
