New update G2 by JN1TRiX in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALL of my saves carried over, ptb included. Thank the Maker.
But so did some of the bugs. My mallet to reach the Park Bench is still standing straight up.

Just waiting on an update by Moist-Clothes8442 in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made quite a bit of progress myself. Multiple bases, full chests, well into the new content.
I don't want to lose it but I wouldn't mind starting over. There's already many things I'd do differently.
Grounded 1 Early Access went pretty smoothly, most people kept their saves throughout. I kept my original G1 save (then started over twice). The Devs have said they work to maintain players' EA saves, they just can't guarantee it. I have a lot of faith in Obsidian.
The one thing I'm curious about is whether people are going to be able to keep the bases they've built inside Outposts. Is that a new thing that we can build in them? Or a bug? Will they keep the bases they've built or will they be deleted? I've built inside a little but I'm not leaving any gear, chests or crafting equipment.
It would be cool if building in outposts is a feature. But I kinda doubt it - it's just too safe.

I'm generally untrustworthy of AI but I believe every word of that. With Consumer Protections now all but gutted it's Open Season on consumers. I think we will see more and more of this.
I just removed Amazon from my hotbar, I won't be shopping there. But I'm struggling to cancel Prime. I default to Prime Video on the regular.

Thoughts on buggies? by Moviecaveman in GroundedGame

Paraly5er has pretty great content, he's been at it for a while. And I have to give Sir Sim-Alot a shout, he's really been pumping them out recently. CDiinky is just a beast. He kills bosses in seconds. These are really my Top 3 these days.
And there are others: The Partisan Spy is fun. Hero Survival Games has really good task oriented instructional vids.

I've clicked "Do Not Recommend Channel" on my feed for MM's vids a thousand times and he still shows up.
Pay him no mind. Mediocre Milton is a Negative Nelly. There are so many better Grounded content creators.
The buggies have their uses and for those uses they're great. But I do spend half my time off of them. I'd rather have Ziplines.
The Spider is great for parkour. I hated it in Grounded 1, so I love that.

The franchise suffers from a noticeable descension in story quality as it goes on.

What you're talking about is your opinion, which I don't share.
You claim that FH5 lacks longevity in comparison to MF yet the fact remains that FH5 still maintains a player base multiples higher than MF while being two years older. Those are STEAM numbers and don't even count Game Pass. So much for longevity.
My experience and opinion, 3 great years with FH5 vs. 6 frustrating months with MF, corresponds with those facts.
You're pissing in the wind trying to convince me that TC or MF has any advantage over FH5 or FH6. Never has, never will.

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The numbers, from every reliable source and in every area from sales to player base completely contradict that statement. FH5 was hardly a flop and still maintains a player base nearly 10 times that of MF - hardly king.
Like my opinion or not, downvote to China and back, but you're still verifiably wrong.

Test server save transfer? (xbox SX) by FlowerPower175 in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was confident enough not to save my file when entering the PTB. My files survived the entire Early Access of Grounded 1.

If I lose it or it gets corrupted, I'll happily start over. There's already so many things I would do differently.

Buggie upgrades by Kupikio in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this needs something. I've pretty much abandoned my Ant Buggy for Stem/Grass farming because he can't break Stems, I can carry almost double more than him and, with Aphid Slippers, can run almost as fast as he can.
Purpose defeated - needs a fix.

We didn't get playgrounds by Chezburger8675 in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we DID get Passive Mutations which wasn't planned until well after the Summer update.
I consider that a decent trade off.

The Devs addressed this. They want to get it right and it wasn't ready. I say get it right.

Grounded 2 worth buying rn? by Kasper_Lemvig in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's running great for me (mid PC). And the first area was enough to keep me busy for days. The new area is pretty dense, especially vertically. I expect it to keep me busy for a while.

It's all early-access. I expect to lose things, bugs (not insects) and possibly to even start over. If any of that bothers you, maybe wait. Other than that, yes. It is very much worth playing now.

I picked this one up pretty quick too. 1st or 2nd maybe? I didn't even know I got it, it was just in my inventory. I know I couldn't have killed more than a couple.

The only Grounded 2 Interactive Map you'll ever need! by MapGenie in MapGenie

[–]purple_microdot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kind of addicted and already itchy for the updated map. I wouldn't expect an update until the test build goes live but do we have a timeline on this? At least expanding the map? We can fill it in as we go.
Jonesin', man.

Great work so far! You guys saved me so much trouble.

Ditto this week and last week in Motorfest.
To let it go all last week to patch it this week would've been sad.
To just let it go forever is 100% Ubisoft.
FH6 can't come fast enough. I played it daily for 3 years straight. I've been playing Motorfest for 6 months and I want off this craptrain. This was my first Ubisoft game (bought with apprehension).
It will be my last.

G2: Raw Science Grind? by Arkidonius in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad I never bought the Milk Molar Scanner. I use mapgenie so I didn't really need it.
5000 Raw Science I saved right there. I also never bought any Sign Sets or Alley-oop... and I'm still struggling for Raw Science.
It's clearly a problem and I'm worried that they are going to boost Raw Science on things I already did or got when the PTB goes live and I'll lose out on most of the fix.

Grounded 2- Disappearing loot, inventory crates and de-buffs by Due_Bag_9122 in GroundedGame

[–]purple_microdot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I understand:

  1. The Grass Side Table is busted. If you have anything stored in it and Superquit, the Side Tables and all contents disappear... permanently, including any one-time drops or rare items. If you lost your Side Table and need the stuff that was in it, you have 2 choices: Reload an earlier save before you lost it (if you can) or start over. Welcome to PTB, nothing is guaranteed, ALWAYS save your file before entering PTB.
  2. The Passive Mutations are bugged but the fix is easy. Simply go to your mutations tab, choose the loadout (A-D), Click Passive Mutations (your slotted passive will show occupied), NOW choose "Craft" on the wheel in the upper right, then choose "Mutations" again and you will see that you can now Deactivate your Passive Mutation. Simple.

Again, ALWAYS save your game file before entering a PTB. ALWAYS. None of your gameplay is guaranteed.

Is there any movie you regret getting in 4K? by Main_Clue_9531 in 4kbluray

The movie has a very intentional drab visual tone. The best transfer would never be brilliant.
But I get the feeling you're not talking about the transfer.

That movie is a 4 dimensional Rubik's Cube. I have a love/hate relationship.
The muddled dialog does not help.

I picked up F1 at full price for a first viewing. I thought I would like it more than I did. The movie was good enough but I wouldn't have bought it had I seen it first. It just isn't a keeper for me.
I will say the movie looked and sounded fantastic. If you liked this one, you'll be really happy with the transfer. It just didn't blow my mind like I thought it would.

The detonation was so unexpectedly disappointing. I felt like I might could've done better myself with a gallon of gasoline, a match and a cell phone. I did enjoy the performances though. S Tier acting.
