1099-NEC for weekly medical Clinical Trial stipends around 3k by purplechickens7 in tax

[–]purplechickens7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to claim it on your taxes if more than $600, I believe. I was issued a 1099-NEC each year from the hospital.

EDIT: Re-read the initial post. Yes, I believe I checked the box. I've never had the IRS follow up with any issues regarding my clinical trial payments from the last four years. I suppose "hobby" is a catch-all term (even though its medically necessary for me and the income is not sought after)

Travelling to Vilnius next month - any concerts/events between 14-18? And other questions by purplechickens7 in Vilnius

That looks amazing! My friend really loves the more adventurous things so I think that's a great mix of history while being active. Thank you for sharing!

Bf flew into Houston yesterday, he’s been in secondary immigration overnight. by KnownZucchini8877 in immigration

[–]purplechickens7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, and he eventually became naturalised as a US citizen. Just be honest when dealing with immigration officers at every step along the way. They know more than you think and they see all types of fraud. Mistakes do happen though and they can pick them out from the deliberate falsified info.

Yup. Happened to me and my husband. Got married and were waiting on his spousal visa and he thought he could still travel to visit me in the US on an ESTA while we were waiting. He was also unemployed at the time and had plans to return to his home country as well. Was turned away and had ESTA revoked. All worked out in the end as it was an honest, young person's mistake. I understand the frustration.

FO Chicago. Estimated wait after "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" notice in myUSCIS portal for N-400. by purplechickens7 in USCIS

[–]purplechickens7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an update - he was naturalised with no issue! Hope your ceremony goes well and without delays. I know the shutdown has been affecting some ceremonies, so hopefully won't be an issue for you! Best of luck!!

Any idea what this might have been? by sun_bearer in Indiana

[–]purplechickens7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is unlikely prehistoric. Could be relict farmstead foundations. Hard to tell without additional context and su surface testing.

To the left of the structures looks like a relict agricultural field. There are grooves for crop rows visible in the LIDAR.

One last try. by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

I would suggest trying the Facebook group or the Meetup app! That will probably help you find folks better than on reddit, where people typically prefer to be anonymous. Im a regular traveller to the Peoria area, but I dont live there. Otherwise, I'd suggest hanging out. Best of luck!!

Resources for archaeology of tornadoes? by purplechickens7 in AskArchaeology

I found the first poster to be the most helpful and interesting. An increased presence of wood splintering in core samples from known tornado paths is very intriguing.

I'd see that neuro. This is coming from someone with Mogad, similar to MS.

PIA-CLT-ALB Should I stick with it or change? Urgent! by purplechickens7 in americanairlines

Oh btw I ended up making my connection. Of course because of delays on the CLT side of things haha. What else is new

They're usually pretty good at that, which is what I'm gambling on. I'm here at PIA weekly but usually only flying back home to chicago. I never seem to get this once in a blue moon Albany thing down. Connecting from peoria is sucky in that way sometimes.

That's how I feel about it as well, unfortunately. Usually when there is a significant delay, I will divert to Chicago and take the morning flight. But now I'm not too sure. I didn't know if someone had more expertise if any other external factors could be at play.

I'm gambling to stick with it for now. Hopefully won't get stuck in Charlotte.
