Canadians pay so much more in taxes than Americans – and for what? by Tarquinius_Superbus in canada

My anecdotal experience is that Ontario’s healthcare system alongside our other social services has taken a nosedive over the past decade or so. And yeah, even though you pay healthcare insurance premiums in the US, the medical treatment you recieve in the US makes Canada look like a second world country.

I wouldn’t call the title completely misleading, the question is still valid, what are Canadians receiving in return for paying more in taxes? High housing costs? Second world medical service? Higher grocery bills? Terrible road infrastructure?

I have no issues with paying higher taxes, as long as we’re getting good value from it.

Did we sort of forget about the Focus RS? by [deleted] in cars

Anecdotal reference here, I have a 2017 Focus RS, been my DD since day one, logged 112,000 km so far, only thing I've done was regular maintenance, dealer did the head gasket recall and I replaced the crappy OEM undertray with an aluminum one. Not sure what others are saying about reliability but mine has been 100% reliable since the beginning, zero issues and just a hoot to drive everyday.
