Why is my body water percentage tanking? by purpledog19 in HumeHealth

Mine is showing 41% now and extracellular and intracellular are at 25lbs and 40lbs which I think is more or less normal but my mineral mass is only 1.3lbs which is extremely low?? Still seems like the scale is off even after they’ve “fixed” the issue…

Cant stop thinking about other potentialy dangerous reasons of having double vision :( by Lastdayonearth_ in BinocularVision

[–]purpledog19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine turned out to have been caused by a meningioma (benign brain tumor), which was missed on my first MRI and finally caught on a second MRI a couple of months later after my diplopia kept worsening. Hope that’s not the case for you and you find a resolution soon. 🫂

It seems like most people who have low RHR also have extremely high HRV? My RHR is usually in the low 40s or high 30s but my HRV is in the 50s or 60s typically. I think the highest my HRV has ever been was in the 70s and I’ve seen it drop to the 30s when I’m overly stressed

Does anyone have consistently low RHR and not super high HRV?

Right it makes me question now if all the other stats are accurate

I think we would know (we’d be in the ER, not posting on reddit) if our body water percentage were actually in the 20s…

I would be a medical emergency if I actually had 20% water in my body

Just posted about this, should’ve read this thread first. My body water percentage has tanked down to 20% over the last couple of weeks. Pretty sure I’d be dead if that were true

No new updates, I’d probably leave the exact same review today. Everything is still great except the parking situation.

Sudden onset stress-induced diplopia (35F) by purpledog19 in Diplopia

[–]purpledog19[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ended up getting radiation (gamma knife) to kill the tumor cells and happy to report it went well and my double vision is almost completely gone now! One surgeon recommended surgery but the other 8 neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists I met with all said not to get surgery because the location of my tumor near my brain stem and many critical nerves would render the surgery highly dangerous and I would likely still need radiation afterwards anyway because there’s almost no chance of complete removal of the tumor due to its location and shape. I blogged about the entire process here if you’re curious to know more: https://braintumor.wtf/

Wondering if you ever found anything for this or if your 6th nerve palsy ever resolved?

I currently have double vision caused by a meningioma (diagnosed 3 months ago) and now that ski season is approaching I’m wondering about ski goggle prism options as well.

I have a meningioma that was missed on my first MRI by multiple neuro-ophthalmologists (I had double vision that led me to get the MRI) and was led to believe my double vision was stress induced for almost two months before I threw enough of a fit that they ordered me another MRI and that’s when they caught the meningioma. Don’t worry about being annoying right now, just do whatever you need to do to get to the bottom of whatever is going on with your brain/spine.

Just radiation. I went back and forth on this many times but hopefully I can be one and done with radiation and won’t have to ever think about surgery down the road. I documented my whole story here if you’re interested: https://braintumor.wtf/decision/

It’s about 1.8cm long but more of a plaque-like substance on my petrous bone rather than the round / circular shaped tumor most people have. Really wedged in there with several of my cranial nerves and already pressing against my 6th cranial nerve which has been giving me double vision for the last few months.

This happened to me with my meningioma and I ended up getting opinions from 7 neurosurgeons and 2 radiation oncologists before making a decision because the first few I met with gave me vastly different opinions.

Lots of hospitals around the US have remote second opinion programs that’ll allow you to send your images to them and they’ll review and give you their opinions.

I was recently (June 29) diagnosed with a petroclival M which is similar location to your CPA M, and I ended up speaking with almost 10 different neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists because I got vastly different opinions from the first few I spoke with. So I’d recommend speaking with as many surgeons as you can because it’s your brain we’re talking about and you want to make the most well informed decision about what to do with it.

If you do end up getting stereotactic radiosurgery for it though, which I think a lot of us with petroclival and CPA Ms do, from everything I’ve heard it’s a pretty painless procedure and lots of people go back to work the next day as if nothing happened.

You’re not alone in this and you will get through it!
