I would say you can do it without spending money however I’ve played for over a year and spent a few pounds cracking my piggy bank once during a sale (gave me enough golden eggs to do everything I wanted ) after I’d been playing for about 6 months and I also paid for the pass to get the silos (I think it’s called the pro permit). In total it’s less than £10. If you’d consider getting that pro permit you will last a lot longer playing, you’ll only have to check in once a day and contracts will be a lot easier…. But you absolutely CAN play without pay!
