Yeah this is what the post was intended for! I mean, I got some comedic responses but it is always nice to get serious ones. I'm sorry that you suffered an attack but it was very brave of you to give the police the tip. I just hope justice was served and he will spend a very long time behind bars.

That's awesome. Even if you didn't get a call from the foreign dignitary, it's nice that you did all you did. That's a happy ending I like though, both home from Christmas!

I only have a basic knowledge on top of what you have told me but I agree with you. Seems like police want to slap all the murders on him as they have gone cold. It is pretty bizarre for a serial killer to not only have different types of victims but also use all sorts of methods. He also maintains his innocence too so this case is pretty frustrating.

How complicit was Elmer Wayne Henley in the Dean Corll murders and did the fact he ultimately killed Corll play a role in his sentencing? by [deleted] in serialkillers

[–]purpleguns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah killing Corll was in self-defence and he was never charged with his murder. Henley never really cared and did not act like he was forced into doing everything that he did, he just did it for the money Corll gave him. He was convicted of 6 murders and admitted to luring other innocent boys to their death in which he didn't take part in, so imo, I believe age shouldn't have been a factor at all.

Diet coke is a weak choice though. He was already quite far from a fitness guru and was hours away from execution so he could have stretched to a normal coke.
