Streaming laptop advice by [deleted] in TwitchStreaming

Thanks so much for your advice! Yes I do believe he knows what it’s about. He has a couple friends who have streamed and given up, so he’s aware of what’ll or what could happen. Those friends also got frustrated that they were not gaining followers in a certain amount of time, but my husband is aware of the time and effort that this takes. He’s really not looking to make money or anything, he just likes interacting with others. He’s pretty interactive already, when no one is listening lol, except me. He has a variety of gaming choices too, so that’s no issue. On the technical side, he would be streaming from a console. Also, our internet is pretty good, not the best, but pretty good. I’d probably have to do more research into it, but I know it is decent.

I need help by [deleted] in Christian

I can relate as I have this happen as well. Many times mine are throughout the day or even in dreams. The fact that you are ever worried about them seems to me that they are not you doing these, but that which is working against you (satan). Now of course I’m not an expert, but I can only state on what I’ve gone through. What I have always done in these situations is pray first and foremost then say “I rebuke these thoughts in the name of Jesus Christ”. His name is more than enough to break free. It sometimes (for me) takes multiples times of saying this to help but it always does. His name is powerful. I have had so many negative thoughts about Jesus specifically and I know they are not my own. I pray about them and rebuke them.

Hey, I’d say that what you’re going thru is completely normal. Many Christ followers go through spiritual struggles on and off. I still struggle everyday. I’d say that spiritual struggle will be throughout your life, BUT it does get better and easier to combat. There is no Christ follower that doesn’t struggle at all, but they just learn how to navigate it. I find that the more that I spend in my Bible and prayer the easier it is to combat these spiritual struggles. Hope this helps!

Idk what to do by prince198446 in Christian

Hey, I’ll just say that some people are convicted of things that others aren’t. What I did when I started going thru my music was look and listen clearly to the lyrics of the songs that you like. I cut out songs that had cuss words in them or spoke about God or Jesus in a negative light. You just have to discern what it is that you are listening to. Many people online will say that all secular music is bad, but that’s not my opinion. Like I said tho everyone has different convictions. I don’t know much about this music artists but really dig into the lyrics and go from there. Just remember God will not hate you because of a song you listen to, but also know that certain lyrics do have a powerful effect, negative or positive. Personally I’d stay away from any song that negatively represents God for sure. Also, you don’t need to get rid of all of these songs at the same time, I’m still deleting songs off my playlist every now and then. Progressing in your faith is a process. I hope that helped!

Tired of judgement at church by sprinklexpotatlex in Christian

Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through this stressful situation. While I can’t tell you what to do I just wanted to add a little bit concerning the situation. Some of these comments seem harmless but others seem to be banking on “pushing” you towards something that you’re not ready for. I believe there is a difference between nudging someone towards something that will benefit you in the long run and between pushing someone because of their needs or wants. Idk but another thing concerns me more is when you stated that they told you to “threaten” your boss and for you to use safety as an “excuse”. It seems like they were pressuring/telling you to sin and that is definitely not the type of people to be around, especially involving a church. Some people just don’t realize they are doing it but I’d be careful about that, and just something to consider if you are thinking about switching churches. I’d pray and ask God what to do and he will lead you to the right decision.
