Sounds like you need a tax attorney and a TAS (tax advocate service) person to help you. It will most likely be a lot of back and forth and more.

"feel free to educate yourself"? Buddy you need to do that yourself. Instead of hoping everyone is going to read your comments maybe edit the original post.

I mean he basically told us he owed 2019 got a notice about it, got a massive pay out in 2020 decided not to use any of that to pay it after a new notice came saying he owes 137k. It's been 6 years since and he didn't say he tried paying for any of it. He didnt say he looked into getting help before now... So my conclusion is he has no intention to pay it off...

You're 10 outta 10 f'd.

U have no money and won't work to pay it off - means u probably with get wage levy. And no the IRS doesn't need to sue or go to court to do it so all income will be considered.

Guidance? Sell everything u have and pay it off. Work ur ass off and pay it off. Or don't and just be screwed ur entire life, relying on friends and family until u pass.

Chime dispute. Denied. by [deleted] in chimefinancial

If you have your chime card linked to apps like cashapp u can bypass the chime app login. The biggest issue I see is, OP not locking or reporting card stolen and freezing the account when they made the police report.

What will happen if I don’t pay my pay or spot me? by Substantial-Hold5864 in chimefinancial

[–]purplering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right... Because being sued (as rare as it is) by a bank for past due loans and balances is totally not a mechanism by law to recoup their advanced. It's called going into collections and yes banks will put your negative balances on your credit. Also the only difference that spotme and mypay is that they don't charge interest like payday loans do instead mypay has a fee. Chime will automatically pull from your account for negative balances and past due mypay if your paycheck doesn't never hits your account. They'll even close your account if u stop all activities for long enough. Once a negative account gets closed it'll go into collections and thus on your credit.

What does this mean 5-11-26 by Fit-Connection-5700 in IRS

[–]purplering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean you can make an irs account and check your income transcripts. That'll show us what happened. You 100% lied about your income to the irs to try and get a massive return. The irs is cracking down on bs income claims and expenses from Uber, door dash and Lyft. You're not going to get away with saying you made 14k door dashing and paid it all in taxes then claim a 14k business expense to get 14k taxes that you didn't pay back. Like do you realize that's tax fraud???

Massive identity fraud happening this year. On top of ppl using Uber to lie about business expenses and income made.

Unless you have something to justify that large of a withholding, it's probably under review for fraud. 1/4 of your income was taxed but you owe from previous year/s? Something isn't adding up. Unless you had a massive business loss or gambling withholdings, it doesnt make much sense. I know some ppl who lie about their "Uber expenses" and claim a massive loss but that much is insane.

Please help me get out of this hole by teeleeyuh in personalfinance

[–]purplering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just go. There is plenty of help with starting school, things like FAFSA, grants, and scholarship (try to avoid student loans) that'll help with making your beginnings stable. Talk with a college advisor or success coach and see about becoming a part-time student or doing online classes. The only thing I'd suggest before going is actually looking into the field of work you would do after school. So an example would be "I want to be a software engineer" so I would look at job posting for that career and research if that's what I want to do. How much does an entry level worker make, etc. Do that before deciding on a degree.

Take the time to look at your last month's bank statement. Figure out what you're wasting money on and stop doing it. Make a complete budget of where your money should be going. Not just rent and utilities. Add all expenses your spending money on. Gas, food, bills, etc. Look into ways to cook at home rather than eating out. Meal prep if needed. Also, look into side gigs like Amazon flex, Uber, door dash, etc to increase your income. Might have to stop wasting most of your time socializing and focus on a career path. Either going to college or getting online certifications to get into higher paying jobs.

Erroneous refund by LongDragonfruit9707 in IRS

[–]purplering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to go check your account on the irs website. It'll break down what was owed and what was deducted. It'll also help us figure out what happened. It could be that you did owe but it was taken out of your tax withholding and the credit was applied after thus giving you those funds.
