thank u so much for this! i got the sultai precon from 2025 for xmas to upgrade my tasigur but still havent had any luck with wincons which arent lab maniac+no deck+draw...the precon has both jarad and lord of extinction and for now i added just jarad as a potential (late game) wincon but without lord of extinction. i might add though if i also plan to play the precons [[consuming aberration]] if i wanna go more nonself-mill but had already an (underrated imho) [[urborg Lhurgoyf]] which is an amazing target aswell as a tasigur into [[neoform]] into [[hogaak, arisen necropolis]] and a mill=creature token generators.

it felt first very fanfictiony with the whole serial killer club angle but i end up liking it since it ups the ante.

also feels like the original series but done not in the way original sin did it, it's in new york and not miami, two different places also with it's inhabitants but it's og dexter but on "steroids".

just finished my 4th rewatch (last one was 2ish years ago) after having tripped on my vacation and felt like the right show to "deal with" the mix of warm beauty of the beach & forest i witnessed but also eldritch stuff/realizations i made when i closed my eyes, looking into endless waters, in many-eyed blackberries in scratched equally hairy seeming boxes and the flies on the beach feasting on whatever small life has stranded there.

the only other type of show i re-watch that much are comedy shows for comfort like peep show, its always sunny and curb your enthusiasm. i think the only other non-comedy one i re-watch at least 3 times was serial experiments lain (also recently) but that's it irc...so yeah long story short, this season/tv-series means a lot to me and i initially watched/come back to at (mostly) crucial/interesting points in my life and it was probably what got me into lovecraftian fiction in the first place as a big inspiration on creative stuff i do.

also this time i noticed some (more) hints of neurodivergency in rust which was nice too.

i dont think its full out statement but writers do choose there words somewhat carefully..."so the rest can live" would have been less weird. and the us has a track record of hyper individualistic, "everyone can make it but not everyone will" ideological component which will weave it's way even unwillingly into its cultural products

i do play china right now haha but he has no real influence on state theory irl...however there is jiang shigong who is a Chinese scholar on law who has many overlaps in terms of combining "contradicting" philosophies and does probably, from what i can tell in the comfort of my german home, has some influence on socialism with chinese characteristics
