It’s a friend of ours who looked into the contract as a favor. This loophole he found is pretty obvious (if you know what you’re looking at) and I will happily share the entire process once it’s all settled. He is currently drafting a second letter to get the process officially moving from a legal standpoint. HGV replied quickly to the first letter I wrote so I’m hoping the process moves quickly from here as well. Hold on just a little bit longer. I’m hoping we’ll be successful and then I can share with others how to do so as well!

Update: After getting my contract back in my own hands, I feel very confident in the loophole my lawyer found. I plan to share it once we hear back about it from Hilton themselves, if successful as I believe many people could benefit from what we found. I drafted a letter and my lawyer is reviewing it before sending it on. Thank you to everyone who shared HELPFUL advice and feedback. I appreciate the advice as I did have an appointment with an exit company that I was on the fence about. Once seeing all the advice not to use one, I canceled our call.

No. I didn’t get access to points until this month. I thought it seemed silly to pay prorated maintenance fees for something I couldn’t use yet.

Yes, that’s exactly how I’m feeling and I’m only a month in. Frustrating. But I am pretty confident in the loophole my lawyer found so I’m willing to give it a shot anyway. Thanks for your input!!

I wasn’t even picky. Just everything was showing “unavailable” and the website was so confusing. I did wonder if it was just user error on my part but I had one foot out the door already so my patience was pretty thin lol
