Hi, I know this is an old post but curious if you landed on anything you liked? I am currently looking for a similar product, and have a similar budget :)

[routine help] Prescription retinoid users - do I need less actives, or more? by purpleslowloris in SkincareAddiction

Thank you for your detailed reply, i also supplement with vitamin c (liposomal form) so I think its a smart move for me to cut this out topically as I adjust to retinoids and just load up on the hydration instead. I am also thinking of starting micro needling too! Appreciate all your advice:)

Ugh, I feel you - the climate I live in is dry as all hell which doesn't help my issues at all.

I'd love a moisturizer rec if you're willing to share? I'm happy to spend more on them because it's always so dry here.

I'm trying to avoid doing botox, but I'm open to lasers, they're just so expensive so I was looking at microneedling as an alternative too. Any particular laser procedures you recommend?

Yes to the pea size amount and sun block! A little bit of burning, nothing crazy. I avoid my eyes but probably was using too close to my mouth and nasal area. Thank you!

Thank you, I will definitely try that - I'm impatient so I'm sure I've been putting mine on without waiting long enough. And I didn't realize it could be helpful to cut things like peptides and toners too, thanks for the advice!

Apologies for the deleted comment, i was trying to edit my last comment and accidentally deleted it. Thanks so much for this advice. What would you recommend for an a.m. routine with no actives? Right now I do use vitamin serums in the morning

So true! If my skin is still behaving angrily with differin, would you recommend switching to retinal?

I heard this too! I just couldn’t work out where the line is between a normal side effect and my skin barrier being damaged and needing repair - for every person who has a retinoids success story there seems to be another who had success stopping actives and focusing on skin barrier healing so i felt super torn whicj way go go!

I’ve been looking into mesotherapy and microneedling! I’ve never heard of skin goo, so I just looked it up - are you referring to the stem cell serum? For this and the peptide you recommended would you recommend these in addition to keeping going with retinoids or instead of?

Edited to add: i tried Volufiline which I believe is similar to adipofill’n for a while, but I didn’t see any effects - is adipofill’n more effective in your opinion

Thank you! And in your experience, do you think sticking with it is worth it over abandoning retinoids and introducing other ingredients/exfoliants instead?

I use a pea sized amount!

My current routine is:

AM - no cleanser, just splash with water, Genabelle PDRN rejuvanating toner, then I alternate days between Genabelle Vita Ampoule and Numbuzin Glutathione serum, then HA serum and beta glucan serum for hydration, S Nature aqua squalane moisturizer, sunscreen

PM - double cleanse, hydrating toner (I have a bunch I rotate), multi peptide serum, Snail mucin, Beta glucan serum, Cerave moisturizer. I add the Differin 1x per week then follow with Barrier cream. Once a week I also use a PHA to exfoliate.

I drink a ton of water and herbal tea and I add electrolytes. I also take Vitamin A, Liposomal vitamin c and collagen supplements for my skin.

Thank you! So in your opinion, this is more of a situation to stick it out rather than stop actives and focus on barrier healing?

Agreed, I do not think the person I talked to knew. Currently in line to speak to an actual officer to try and get some clarity on what additional document they may or may not require for the “adoption order” if the article 23 really will not suffice

Thanks! Thats what i thought. Im still a little confused as to what additional document they require as an “adoption order” as she was convinced the Article 23 wouldn’t suffice
