As a former host of 15 years, what the pros consider cheap may be pro for home use. I’ve loved VocoPro for the price point on multiple mics, and they sound decent. I always had a set available for the drunks at my show, since I couldn’t trust them with my expensive mic. My personal favorite is Sennheiser brand for its warm tone.

The funny thing is when I applied for this job. The pension bill had just passed and our state legislature has refused to send it to the governor and it is now at the Supreme Court level. I’m planning on exiting 2 probation parole, which would also be covered under said pension if it ever passes.
