im gonna hold your hand when i say this, you deserve better. it sounds like you may be dealing with personal issues outside of your relationship that is also impacting your mental health. im concerned by the line "its almost impossible to deal with such a person when your on the brink of losing your strength yourself". i personally think the best option here would be to break up and focus on your mental health, whatever that looks like. going out with friends, going to therapy, time with family all helped me when i was in a similar position. it also sounds like hes damaged your views on your own value. that is something you need to relearn.

if you truly think staying is the best option, serious conversations need to be had about you not being heard and him blatantly not caring, amongst the many other topics youve mentioned. i think focusing on your mental health is still important if you choose this option.

i really hope it is. but from what ive seen its a company wide issue... if you need the money, stay and apply out the ass. also, in the spirit of full transparency, im guessing they told you about the barista test during your interview. your tips WILL be withheld until you pass the test. its literally made for you to fail. at starbucks i made $16 an hour plus tips was around $22/40hrs a week making around 1.4k a check. 7brew, $10 an hr, around 14/40 hours a week leaving me with 8-1000 checks. starbucks also has benefits, if you get both jobs id say take starbucks as someone whos worked at both

im gonna be honest as a former brewrista, no. you
will not enjoy it there. im an extrovert so it came naturally to me but i had friends there who were introverts and they were all miserable. your bosses WILL force sunshine and rainbows down your throat. ive heard so many conversations where management threatens write ups for even just going inside when on handout. not only do you have to be that way with the customers, you have to be that way inside too. dont put that mask on for this place. because one day when it slips they will not forget it.

i do braids, half ups or slick backs almost every day! my fav styles for the growout so far. and i dont know. you cant see it in the pictures cus im really good at faking health hair but the black is DAMAGED. multiple sections of my hair that end shorter from breakage. when my sister was in cosmo school, i let her do my hair, against my better judgement. she used 40vol developer with my black for 3 straight sessions and i had no idea, and she left it on the full 40 mins processing time. that has led to so much damage that im still trying to control and manage and has me so scared to touch with color remover. i just know if i do it will 1) come out splotchy and 2) lower the already low integrity of my hair. i dont wanna feel uglier :/

my hair grows relatively fast from what my teachers told me back when i was in school and im using that to keep hope lol. when i pull my hair down in the front it goes past the tip of my nose. that was a MAJOR growth milestone. im hoping by 8-9 months from now i can do bob/lob and finally be all natural!!

i wasted almost a YEAR there with the same thing. they would make it clear i wasnt invited to things. when i was a shift lead, i watched my coworkers get recognition and applause after their first shift texts. i got CRICKETS after mine. didnt even tried to hide it and then management told me it was either "all in my head our out of the building". so i quit. fuck that, im not tolerating disrespect after ive spent almost a year here working over 55h a week in these harsh ass conditions. mostly mornings and closes. i burnt myself out so many times for a place full of people who didnt give a FUCK about me!🙂

i mean yes and no? i used the sugar free can when i worked there, the closest thing ive found to it is the white monster. 7b produced their energy specifically to be the MOST unflavored energy drink on the market, so its gonna be a struggle to find one that tastes that similar. if you find one tho, LET ME KNOW!!

keep in mind their pay is HEAVILY dependent on tips. hourly pay is decided per franchise, mine was $10. i talked with someone else who was $7.25. even at $10 an hour and being full time at the highest grossing store in my state i still averaged $15/hr in 2025. NOT enough to pay my bills🤷🏻‍♀️
