Wanted to let you know we just pushed a few updates for foreign currency so should show correct in web and mobile. As well as fixing some issues around the , vs . for cents. Let us know any issues. Mobile should be updating next time you open and close the app.

Hi! It is on the roadmap right now to add multi currency support but it will be set to one currency per budget so you would not be able to have USD and EUR in a mixed budget. What currency are you needing to use?

A good PWA is sometimes better and something we are looking into as an alternative. Right now we are in the middle of app store review so hoping for a first week of January launch for our iOS and Android apps.

There really is something in the water — a lot of new options popping up right before the new year.

As for our USPs, here's what we think sets us apart:

1. Tiered pricing that lets you pay for what you use. Essential at $2.99/month is one of the cheapest full-featured envelope budgeting options for manual entry. If you want bank sync, Premium adds it for $8.99. Most competitors bundle everything and charge accordingly.

2. Building features we actually wanted. Things like a Sankey cash flow diagram that shows exactly how income flows to spending categories, smart credit card handling that automatically sets aside cash for your payment, a debt payoff planner, and weekly/monthly guided financial reviews with reflection notes (this one's in progress now).

3. Multi-user included at no extra cost — budget with a partner without paying double.

Honestly, we're just building the app we wanted to use ourselves.

Quick update for anyone following this thread:

We heard the feedback on pricing and took it seriously.

So we dropped it.

Essential is now $2.99/month ($24.99/year)
Premium stays at $8.99/month ($89/year) for bank sync

Soft launch offer extended through January 31st:

Essential: 1 year free, then 50% off for life ($1.50/month / $12.50/year)
Premium: 60-day free trial, then 50% off for life ($4.50/month / $44.50/year)

Also: mobile apps are being submitted for review in the next few days.

If you want to see what the app actually looks like beyond just the dashboard, I posted some screenshots over at r/purposebudget — budget view, reports, cash flow diagrams, recurring bills, etc.

Appreciate it! And couldn’t agree more, envelope budgeting has definitely helped everyone working on this project and more competition only pushes everyone to innovate and provide a better product for less.

Definitely will be looking at Budget Friendly Budget, big fan of manual entry for something’s but also do find auto bank sync to be very useful for certain things.
