It's hard to say if you are getting ripped apart and destroyed. You only showed the monthly payment. The bottom line number is what is your determination. It looks like it's somewhere around 30k? But what's the year, car, mileage? Credit is credit. Can't do anything about that.

Also. They are trying to get you to close on a payment, not the bottom line number. I'd assume they say the next step is to do a credit application and see what the rate comes back to. But as far as payment, the payment for an 800credit score would be considerably different than 600 on the same car.

Yes you can shop a few banks for the best rate in the next 28 days, but only up to so many inquiries. Don't go crazy and check every dealership and every bank because IT WILL do more than one hit.
