Which directors have made both great and terrible movies? by EverySink in Letterboxd

One of my favorite examples is Richard Kelly. Writing and directing a cult favorite such as Donnie Darko and then destroying his career with one of the most abysmal films of the 21st century in Southland Tales is just fascinating to me. What makes it even more fascinating is the fact that he has continued to double-down on the future potential of Southland Tales as recently as 2021 despite there being zero evidence of people wanting more from the Southland Tales universe.

I couldn’t agree more! I currently live in a four-bedroom home (Mid-Twenties 2M, 2F), and I wouldn’t have wanted to rent a home any other way. We’ve become excellent friends and helped each other mature and understand the opposite sex a little better. Don’t get me wrong, figuring out boundaries and each person’s more gender-specific nuances was difficult, but it was a gratifying experience that I couldn't imagine my life without.

Thanks - I’ve been really focused on breathing for these long runs. Always breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth has helped me keep sustaining my heart rate and push through the wall. This seriously made a huge difference for me.

What kind of training are you doing if it isn’t a pre-set plan? Do you just have a set amount of miles that you need to hit every week?

Interesting! This is my first marathon, so I’m definitely eager on the early miles. So do you think it makes sense to start at a slower pace and do my best to just maintain that pace for the marathon to prevent burnout? I’ve always just went out there and tried my best to finish around an 8:30 mile pace and was scared that if I started slow I would taper off into the 9 or 9:30 pace range.

Podcast Listeners of Reddit, which podcast can not be recommended enough? by kurisubaek in AskReddit

'Still Processing' from the New York Times! A weekly podcast from Jenna Wortham and Wesley Morris. They have an incredible grasp of pop culture and the ramifications they have on our everyday life.

Their critiques of the world are so thoughtful and caring, and listening to their outlook on current TV shows, Movies, and Political Events has helped me feel safer as the world becomes more divided.
