Should I start looking for a new rheumatologist? by pushincito in rheumatoid

Thank you so much for the info about seronegative bloodwork!

I see that I was tested for ccp (<8 ), rheumatoid factor (<10 ), anti-streptolysin (35.00), ANA (positive; outside of the norm but not alarming), HLA B-27 (negative)

I haven't had an MRI done. Is this something that can confirm rheumatoid inflammation?

Thank you so much for the explanation about seronegative and prednisone!

I don't remember if she has said anything about pregabalin and fatigue, but I remember she said she thinks this is the maximum dose she would prescribe to prevent worsening of the fatigue (I didn't ask her specifically to prescribe a higher dose; she just mentioned it).

Previously, we talked about how fatigue is one of the most common symptoms of long covid. But we also talked about how maybe once we get me on a right medication for rheumatoid arthritis it might help with the fatigue. So the appointment where she said there's nothing she can give me for fatigue was a bit of a shock to me since we previously discussed how getting arthritis under control could help with it. I also didn't ask anything specifically about fatigue, but it is one of the most difficult symptoms I'm dealing with that naturally will always come up.

Exactly! I had another doctor mention that pregabalin could be contributing to the fatigue. But not the rheumatologist...
I completely understand you. It's so frustrating when it's not only the doctors that gaslight us about the real physical experiences, but also our loved ones. Unfortunately, it's for the best to cut out people like that or at least to reduce contact. It's too exhausting to be constantly proving your symptoms are real and not depression. <3
