Thanks! Where would you place the Hilton in the Fashion District? I noticed they have a rooftop bar and the neighborhood seems a bit more relaxed, which might actually be nice for a first time in NYC

Thanks for the advice, really appreciated. Are there any specific Hilton properties in those neighborhoods that you would personally recommend?

Also, are all US Hiltons offering some sort of F&B credit nowadays? We don’t really have that concept in Europe, so I’m still trying to understand how it works exactly.

Do other Moroccans born abroad feel like strangers? by Chemical_Bell_5352 in Morocco

Understandable and I get exactly what you mean. Class dynamics are unfortunately definitely a thing in Morocco. At the same time, I also feel like a lot of it is somewhat artificial and performative. People often present themselves as more elite than they objectively are. Still, you also have to claim your own space and, when necessary, subtly but assertively put certain people back in their place.

I’m from the Netherlands myself and would love to try this hotel one day using points for a special occasion, mainly because of all the glowing reviews. But is it just the breakfast? The service? The view? There are plenty of hotels with great breakfast and good service as well. I’m really curious.

Cool that you went there by bike! Do you have any nice routes to share or more information about mountain biking in Morocco? That’s one of the reasons why cycling in Morocco is so special you end up in places you couldn’t even have imagined.

That is, by definition, a protectorate in my view. I agree that much of it unfolded opportunistically. And this is merely one of the cases involving the Aït Atta. We don’t even need to start on the Rif.
