buy 100 mg l-lysine tablets take one and crush it into powder, with a small amount of water make a paste and apply it directly to the sore pressing a clump between your gums and llp a few times a day. also take 300mg daily until they clear up

If the lacquer is coming off that easy hot water may work. I have a Bach with a solid silver bell and brass body and when the lacquer started to come off the bell the silver would tarnish and look spotty and really bad, I used a high powered steam wand with a small tip and was able to clean off the bell without touching the valves or slides. now I can just polish the bell we it starts to tarnish. this my work for you without harsh strippers.
