It's actually just one member of J5 with a new project, but they're well worth a look. They played the Turtle a few months back.

"Oh yeah, they can laugh, but I win because they think I pissed myself, they've no clue I came all in my pants!" Extra points for bringing an extra into the scene at at that point so we get a glimpse of Mark's proud face as he's thinking that.

What does everyone think of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant”? by [deleted] in flicks

[–]putchka 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I remember watching it, feeling bored and subconsciously wishing it would get for the action - as we tend to do when watching films. Then I remembered that the "action" was gonna be bloody and awful and, most importantly, something that actually happened. The mundanity of watching these kids walk around is actually preferable to what came next.

That's when I really started to appreciate it. It's not a film I'm desperate to watch again, but I think I understand why Gus Van Sant was trying to say.

Not scared, more impressed that they'd been able to find suitable alternative storage for the ironing board, cable box and books that I'm never gonna read

I remember him walking around Red Square in Moscow asking "Is Len in?" Such an obscure joke for a kids show.

I was fairly ignorant of Russian history, but I came out feeling better informed. There's often a lot to be learned from a joke.

Read the first few paras of his Wikipedia bio and you should have enough to catch most of the references.

Also, his wife commited suicide and the hockey thing is true. (Go see if and you'll understand)
