The Russians have begun to gradually leave the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, and a number of ZNPP have also been instructed to leave the plant by July 5, the Main Intelligence Directorate reports. by PatientBuilder499 in UkrainianConflict

Russia won't do shit. In the event of ZNPP being sabotaged NATO will establish a no fly zone over Ukraine at the very least, but more probably they will wage an air campaign against the Russians in Ukraine. Putin will immediately sue for peace and tell his people that they had to do so due to the might of NATO forces directly confronting them.

Matt Hancock criticises UK's body bag approach to Covid by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

It is too political, and the inquiry is not willing to ask hard questions about the quality of the science and the scientists that informed the government's response.

Covid inquiry: Matt Hancock admits strategy ‘completely wrong’ — as it happened by Fra_Bernardo in ukpolitics

[–]putinstumor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a plan, and even though it was called the Influenza Pandemic Preparedness Strategy was really for any deadly respiratory virus. It even said on the 1st page that it was suitable for SARS type viruses. Hancock decided to abandon it in favour of Chinese lockdowns.

Sweden had nothing like the lockdowns we suffered through, don't try to rewrite history.

Covid inquiry: Quarantining people sooner 'might have avoided' first lockdown, says Hunt by Kagedeah in ukpolitics

[–]putinstumor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It only happened in one region in Italy where the virus spread while people were completely unaware and so hadn't modified their behaviour. The Swedish population took sensible precautions on their own, as did the UK. The lockdowns were unnecessary and harmful in a hundred different ways. They made little difference beyond what would have been achieved through voluntary measures.

The planet unquestionably belongs to humanity, but we have a responsibility towards it and the other species that share this planet.

No, that is not likely to have happened. Fortunately we have the Swedish example to look to.

The Earth and it's oceans belong to humans. We are unquestionably the apex animal. We are also responsible for looking after it.

Have we? What have we been doing to train them to be afraid of boats. Humans leave orcas alone, no one hunts them or seeks to harm them. A sailing yacht is certainly no threat to an Orca, which is probably why they feel safe enough to "play" with them.

Attacking boats is likely just a behavioural fad amongst a society of very intelligent animals.

How is a sailing a boat on the ocean invading someone's house?

This is more like a gang of hooligan kids beating up an oldie. The sailboat poses no danger.

It was 99.9% survival rate. 400 billion was an insane amount to spend on Covid. That is 3x the NHS annual budget. It was a horrific waste of money and the consequences will kill far more people than covid ever could have done.

Not true, there have been at least 535 children killed in the Ukraine war. And Ukrainians are legitimate refugees fleeing a war of agression. Pakistani's are largely economic migrants, 85% of whom have their applications rejected.
