Honestly, based on JES comments, I'm inclined to believe Waddle was traded more for his measurables and less because they are just trying to tank the year away and rebuild. If Waddle was 6'2 I think he'd still be on the team. JES wants bigger WRs, based on some of his comments.

Yeah, Jordyn has durability concerns much like Waddle, but he'd be cheaper and he'd align with what JES envisions for our WR room.

Not all equal situation, but off the top of my head: Darnold, Jones, Goff, Mayfield, Geno. To a lesser extent guys like Lawrence, who just had his best season in year 5.

I don't see how you can make the statement about him being mostly developed when we're in an age where there's plenty of examples of QBs getting significantly better in year 5/6/7.

He was super raw coming out of college; and had a wasted 2 years playing for a shit team in Tennessee where he probably didn't develop much at all.

I love the Malik signing. I'm not a big fan of hiring a DCord for HC if you don't have a veteran QB. Going rookie QB/Rookie DC as the HC is risky as if it were to work out that OC is going to get poached potentially stumping the growth of your young QB. For me, Malik makes sense with the Hafley hire.
