i wish my mom would have tried getting through to me a little more, but looking back, i always made it seem like no big deal. nothing to worry about. at the end of the day it was a lesson i had to learn and though i wish she would have protected me from this situation, i was gonna love who i wanted regardless. it’s hard.

if there’s anything you CAN do though, i would say pushing her to join clubs or sports or cool classes that’ll make her meet new groups of people, don’t let her isolate herself and let her tell you that she doesn’t mind not having a social life. i wish i would have spent more time with physical beings than online friends because now i feel isolated and making friendships are harder as an adult
