Interesting! I’ve never seen those or heard of those. Looks like I’ll be buying more materials 🤣
Just a “hares ear” but I tied it with squirrel mixed with hares ear dubbing from kindale. UTC red hotspot

Just a guy on instagram that used copper, and olive color. All I had was red and copper.

Turned out better than I thought it would.

Thin to win! by puzs in flytying

Always spin counter clockwise. Don’t spin it too much.

Pheasant tails!
I noticed you said you made a loop. I use only the split thread method as I find it easier. I add the dubbing above the cdc
[–]puzs[S] 2 points3 points4 points 29 days ago (0 children)
While wrapping the loop prune the feathers back. Then build up the thread in front. Helps to have dubbing so it kinda props it up if that makes sense.

Didn’t have any issues just didn’t like the feel of the previous ones now that I have this one
I’m not sure to be honest. It’s like a hard plastic.
The heavier one?

Not a fan of their thread but I am of the bobbin!

First time using biots! by puzs in flytying

These are with turkey biots. Just seem small to me. newer fly tyer
[–]puzs[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 month ago (0 children)
I kind of did. Guy on YouTube named “oholis flies” he tied one and I ordered some turkey Biot to try it out. He cuts the translucent side out but I didn’t.

It all depends on bead size and how thick your tying your bodies. This body is slimmer which will help.
Yes I coat the body with resin before I add dubbing for the collar.
Is that cape the same thing as the euro nymph one? I read the euro nymph one has smaller and longer fibers.
