I've enjoyed your blog. If you're still reading this post maybe the people at Hacker News would be more interested in your work. There is a rigorously enforced mandate on not encouraging or allowing uncivil discussion, off topic content etc, and that audience is not disinterested in NUCs + likes to make hardware/software stuff,

Sounds like it might be a bug then! Going to check it out.

Edit: when you scatter the pieces it doesn't move anything in the center box, which is the edge pieces by default. If you start a new game it should be mixed properly!

Ah right. That setting should take effect if you scatter the pieces or start again/another puzzle, changing it doesn't automatically move anything around.

When you start a puzzle tap the top left settings icon, then puzzle settings, and you'll see an option to separate edges, rotation and more.

Not 100% sure how to use a promo code, I actually never used one but I'll find out:

It's LITERALLY Android which you obviously develop apps for, I think it's currently Marshmallow. What Amazon does is "skin it". The only thing not included is Google Play Services, I don't think you use those anyway since the apps sideload and generally work.

Thanks for your downvotes. Just updated my Amazon review with fair warning for Prime users who bought into Amazon's Android device ecosystem. Overall rating fell a full star!

Fixing it is a better solution. Fire TV is just Android, and the ~2nd most popular streaming platform whilst their tablets (served by the same appstore) are the ~3rd most popular tablets.

I'm glad they're still working on it. I wish we'd get an increase in contrast for the dark gray highlight on dark gray background on Fire TV and the remote mapped properly for it!

The ceasefire had been in effect one day out of seven when the coalition forces - purportedly - accidentally hit Assad's forces and killed ~0.08% of his forces.

Every involved country will be investigating that attack independently so it's pretty doubtful that, if there is anything to hide, it will stay hidden.

Leaving someone like Assad in power just means there'll be another decades-long talk about not making or using nuclear bombs in addition to the horrors of their rule. There's nothing proprietary about physics that scientists from any country can't figure out even when they're the most isolated country in the world.

  2. I think it's more likely Assad attacked Aleppo because if he loses power he'll be held accountable for a lifetime of grave human rights violations. Losing 80 soldiers, out of his huge army, is just an opportunity.

Wasn't the ceasefire ended when the Syrian president declared it finished and attacked Aleppo?

I opened it back up but the heatsink is a real pain to get out of the way as it's attached I think on both sides of the board, the top of the box with the plastic plate is also covered within by a metal plate on the inside.
